Why does America support Israel?
The answer isn’t rooted in theology or special-interest politics but is grounded in strategic national interest. Victor Davis Hanson explains how Israel’s status as the Middle East’s only stable democracy, its alignment with U.S. security priorities, and its role in countering Iran’s decades-long campaign of terror against Americans make it an essential ally on today’s episode of “Victor Davis Hanson: In a Few Words."
“ There's only one government that is truly a free democratic government, and that's Israel. So, it has affinities with the United States and interest with the United States that transcends anything to do with the 7 million Americans who are Jewish Americans. That's just a given.

Then why does the American left hate Israel? The only thing socialism has in common with sharia is that they are both jack-booted authoritarian forms of government.
Answer: The islamic world and the American left both hate America.
“Then why does the American left hate Israel?”
Two reasons, Israel doesn’t take orders from the Neocons and Globalists, like Europe does. Also, Israel doesn’t hate America.
screw the Tuck Qatarlson simpletons. They are loud n pig ignorant. Russia and China know that you need to have friends and allies.
“Then why does the American left hate Israel?”
Also...boundless self-loathing. Soros is that kind a Jew as well
It has become a meme in world politics that Israel bad! America bad!
No, they just don’t lean as reliably left as the Euroweenies want.
I am amazed at the resurgence of anti-semitism after the Oct 7 massacre of Jews. I expected the world to have sympathy. It did not. The world just started blaming the Jews for everything. Crazy.
“The islamic world and the American left both hate America.”
I think you are right. People on the left are driven by emotion and consensus. “Who do we hate?” “Who do we like?”
I would say they are stupid, but they are very good at the mechanics of power, stealing elections, using the law as a tool. They have the benefit of lacking moral restraint. When we say, “I can’t do that.” They say, “Why not?”
They justify their action by some tremendous, but poorly conceived, moral imperative. “Health care for all.” “Saving the planet.” “From each according to their ability. To each according to their need.”
IMHO energy is part of the equation for why Europe hates Israel. Europe wants to free itself from energy dependency on Russia. So for decades (before Europe bought into the “green energy” fantasy) Europe had to placate the Muslim nations by saying they hate Israel too. The idea was for the hope that oil and natural gas would one day be piped in from the Middle East (from Jew hating Muslim nations through Jew hating Turkey into Europe).
Thomas Sowell describes the Leftist delusion of possessing a moral superiority, justifying any crime as “The Vision of the Annointed” in his book of that title.
Another author whose name escapes me wrote of that delusion in a book about Polish communists called “Them”, describing their crimes and their self serving ends and means justifications.
VDH misdenounces nuclear. Makes him sound ignernt.
Victor, Victor, Victor.
The “American” left(who says they are?)just seem to hate so many things that the right does not. I think it must relate back to their actual religious beliefs and what they think about our founding fathers. These men seemed to be brilliant beyond their years, yet there are some who apparently don’t take the time to consider what sort of a man was our founder Geo. Washington & how he thought our nation should be formed. As a nation, we’ve done pretty well when we considered our founders & our Constitution. Apparently some on the left just don’t believe this way in spite of the evidence in front of them.
The American left is antisemitic
Essentially, they kill the Arab over there so it’s not messy for us.....that’s basically it, and I support it whole heartedly.
The land of Israel is not merely "Holy Land" but also the "Promised Land," a divine gift to Abraham and his descendants -Genesis 12:1, 12:7, and 15:18-21. The Holy Land is where Jesus Christ was born, ministered, was crucified, and resurrected. It is considered the birthplace of the church, the place where much of the Bible was written. Isaiah 24:23 prophesies that "the Lord Almighty will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem."
Biblical passages also describe Israel being surrounded by enemies in the context of the end times: Ezekiel 38-39 (Gog and Magog war); Zechariah 12:2-3 - prophecy states that all the nations on earth will gather together against Jerusalem; Revelation 20:7-9 - Describes a final battle after the millennium, where Satan, released from his prison, will gather nations from the four corners of the earth (Gog and Magog) to surround the camp of the saints and the beloved city (Jerusalem). These prophecies collectively paint a picture of Israel, and particularly Jerusalem, being a focal point of conflict and surrounded by enemies in the period leading up to and during the end times.
Now post all the money the Islamic Nations use for lobbying American politicians?
Most of the heated discussions on this forum have to do with theology especially pertaining to Biblical prophecy and the end times.
Nobody (on FR) wants Hamas/Hezbollah running the show 🙄. When the discussion becomes political, it’s more a question of budget allocation, and to what degree the country can remain an ally more on par with that of other allies…instead of a vassal-state type dynamic.
