A senior conservative legal scholar who holds one of Princeton University’s top academic chairs has resigned from the Heritage Foundation’s board in protest of the think tank president’s defense of Tucker Carlson’s interview with white nationalist Nick Fuentes.
Robert P. George, long regarded as one of the right’s leading constitutional thinkers, is the latest figure to step down amid an internal revolt that has already prompted at least seven other staffers, fellows and task-force members to sever ties.

There is a real fight going on in the GOP between those that want Fuentes purged and those that want Jews purged. I wish it wasn’t either/or, but that’s the reality. I still think Mark Levin & Ben Shapiro are much better & valuable. Also, I grew up Jewish, so it’s personal. If Fuentes wins, I won’t be accepted anymore anyway. I’ll be accused of being part of the “lobby” any time I question pro-Palestinian policies.
Antisemites have a very very dark future. Genuine Christians love Israel and those take captive by the adversary hate Israel. It really is that simple, even for the simple minded, and they will be without excuse when the Messiah returns.

Should I thus pretend for the sake of a brief moment of life, they would be led astray by me, while I would bring shame and dishonor on my old age. Even if, for the time being, I avoid the punishment of men, I shall never, whether alive or dead, escape the hands of the Almighty. Therefore, by manfully giving up my life now, I will prove myself worthy of my old age, and I will leave to the young a noble example of how to die willingly and generously for the revered and holy laws.” Eleazar spoke thus, and went immediately to the instrument of torture. Those who shortly before had been kindly disposed, now became hostile toward him because what he had said seemed to them utter madness. When he was about to die under the blows, he groaned and said: “The Lord in his holy knowledge knows full well that, although I could have escaped death, I am not only enduring terrible pain in my body from this scourging, but also suffering it with joy in my soul because of my devotion to him.” This is how he died, leaving in his death a model of courage and an unforgettable example of virtue not only for the young but for the whole nation.

The only thing Fuentes brings to the table is embarrassment.
Nobody is “cancelling” him - he’s free to keep yammering on his podtube or whatever. The first amendment affords him the right to reveal himself as a fool - or as Vance put it “a stupid loser”.
But I absolutely think far, far less of anyone that chooses to partake of his bullcrap. I don’t need to give something a chance that I can smell from a mile and I think anyone who needs to smell it closer up, much play in it and stare it has a screw loose.

I first heard of Fuentes this month. I’ve never seen him, heard him, or read him. Now I’m told to take a hike unless I’m on the right side.
Charlie Kirk refused to back down over tucker Carlson . His last days were filled with taking heat for it. He was called an antisemite for it and lost donors

My salvation lies with Jesus Christ and He alone. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Israeli Jews from Poland, the Ukraine and Brooklyn. This is what well-formed Christians call “heresy,” and this particular type is only found in America, promoted by exotic doctrinaires and grifters like Hagee et al.
You fancy yourself as authority, yet your entire FR profile is devoted to Judaism and Israel. Do you even follow Christ at all?
I don’t know exactly what Fuentes has ever said about Jews. If I knew, I could condemn him. If he said “Jews have higher average income than non-Jewish whites or blacks”, that is a simple fact (I think). If he said “observant Jews don’t eat pork” that is also simple fact. By “de-platforming” him no one can know what he says. I don’t care much what he or Candace Owens says, or Tucker Carlson for that matter. To “platform” someone give me the opportunity to hear their ideas, and if the are anti-semites, I condemn them. However someone must know what this guy says, and if he has a clear history of scummy comments, he can go stand on a street corner or have his own podcast instead of being promoted or normalized by Carlson. Carlson and Megyn Kelly just want their names in print as much as possible, that’s how they make a living.
