Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s administration is fast-tracking approvals for a massive AI datacenter in Saline Township.
Locals oppose the project, but few are more excited about it than Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson’s husband, Ryan Friedrichs.
Friedrichs, vice president for billionaire Stephen Ross’ Related Companies, celebrated the project on LinkedIn.
“Thank you again to all our community, state, regional, and national partners who worked tirelessly with us this year, and will into the future,” Friedrichs wrote in the post, which linked to another from Related Companies CEO Jeff Blau.

By the way, what were you saying about global warming? And why did you make me use shitty
light bulbs, and washing machines that don't clean, and automobiles that struggle on a steep grade?
Exactly!
A friend has one going in near her. GROK AI created a report for her linking to other complaints/towns which were relatively devastated by the arrival of the data centers. 30% drop in property values - the company buys up farmland cheap. Goes downhill from there. Maybe get together with people who know how to get the best out of GROK to generate a report proving the blight, property sale loss etc. which collects over time to be the worst as the 4 year mark.
WHO is able to access—and manipulate/modify—all this data?
Most data centers rent out space and are quite secure. I work regularly in Iron Mountain, and access to data is like the opening of Get Smart with added biomrtrics and passcodes. Lots of cameras.
That skank Benson is going to run for governor, will take all bets.
Likely. I can not stand any of that witchy trifecta.
I heard that the former Detroit mayor and even John James are planning to run.
These data center construction projects all over the country remind me of the dot.com bust and we can expect a backlash not so far away. It is said that the power companies will spread the bills for electricity over all their consumer base, this will not play well.
I do not know. It isn’t the data that is of concern. It is high water usage and the electricity costs being past on to nearby residents. Our water table has enough problems as it is.
Good question!
Yes she will and like that thieving bitch Hobbs in AZ she will use the SOS office to steal it.

Marshall Aquifer has naturally high levels of Arsenic.
Our county in southern Michigan is scarred with hundreds of acres of solar panels. Farmland is forever gone where they are erected.
Are you in Lenawee County? It is very sad. I saw some in the Deerfield area were pushing for it.
People do NOT want solar (or the d$%# data centers), but our state government and those with lots of $$$ keep bulldozing over the wishes of the communities. All the zoning “regulations” go out the windows.
Perfect!
