A Connecticut son bludgeoned his mother to death with a hammer, then ran out into the woods behind his ritzy family home, screaming out for his “Mama.”
Police arrested 20-year-old Sebastian Van Stockum on Oct. 24 after he admitted to fatally attacking his mother, Laura Williams, 55, with his fists and a hammer inside their nearly $2 million home in New Canaan — about 10 miles outside of Stamford, according to the New Canaan Police Department.
Officers said they responded to a report of a man shouting “Mama” from the woods at around 10:36 p.m. that evening when 911 received a call from Van Stockum, “stating that he killed his mother.”

LORD have mercy. Insane. Literally insane.
They ever find Jennifer Dulos remains?
“A boy’s best friend is his mother.”
Remember when the Menendez brothers killed their parents in 1989 they were given sympathy because they were orphans.

“Mama” probably told him to get a job or go to college, and stop playing with his game-boxes, or to do something other than watching porn in the home’s basement. Who could blame the son if that’s what the mother told him?
Wonder what drugs he was on.
$2,000,000 in that neighborhood is barely above hovel level.
She probably took his phone... that’s how insane it’s become.
If you need me, I’ll be in the shower.
A lot of mental issues in that state. They should check the water.
Chances that the tox screen will show high levels of THC in the lad’s system... >98%.
It’s not the “world”. Stuff like this has been happening since the dawn of time. The only reason we even know about it is the internet. With newspapers you only get the most outrageous and bizarre but with the internet you get anything outrageous or bizarre. People should not read news or internet at all if they want basic mental health. We are not made to know everything that goes on in the world. It’s only the last few hundred years that we have been able to know anything that was happening beyond a couple of miles and a few hundred people. Now we have access to the goings on of thousands of miles and billions of people.
That was particularly weird.
"Just look at him. He wouldn't hurt a fly."
Was that before or after the 1956 Patti Page hit “Throw Mama From the Train, A Kiss, A Kiss”?
I follow the Bible. Jesus said in the end, a time of trouble such as never before. And yes, things will get worse even. Natural disasters, crime, economic ruin, disease....Matthew 24 is right on schedule. Thank ya
