President Trump’s construction of a grand ballroom attached to the White House — starting with the demolition of part of the East Wing this week — will not be the first time a president has left a lasting mark on the people’s house.

Presidents from Teddy Roosevelt to Barack Obama have remade parts of the building to their liking. And Harry Truman oversaw a major modernization of the White House, built in 1792.

All the media has to do is put things into perspective or context and their reporting would be honest and less dangerous and biased.

Simply adding a couple of photos to these stories would change them entirely, photos of the military and tanks in 1967 Detroit or other cities and times, photos of tanks and loaded missile launchers in Eisenhower's and JFK's inaugurations, photos of Truman totally gutting the White House.

The East Wing was not structurally sound. It had to go.

I’m convinced that the reason Trump is doing it and the reason the left is screeching is that he is removing surveillance technology and will no longer be able to be spied on by unnamed entities.

It’s that. They use this photo of the demolition to portray Trump as destructive. They’re so dumb. They don’t consider that this is all he did in manhattan - demolishing the bad parts of solid structures to rebuild something greater. Find out about the Commodore Hotel

What’s going to emerge is going to be spectacular

They’re setting themselves up to look dumb and short sighted

It’s also Trumps way of portraying tearing away the corrupt parts of our government down to the solid structure. They’re useful idiots portraying this for him

But now they won’t just let it go. Trump mentioned Jackie K proclaiming nefarious activities going on in and around those rooms. One wonders what they’re afraid he’s is uncovering. What’s going on underneath.

They’re acting like roaches Trump has seen his share of vermin, getting to the foundations of otherwise good structures in NYC. He knows how they behave, react and where they go. Same behavior as bad behaving people

I want an AI video of Trump with AC/DC singing “I’ve got Big Balls” in the new East Wing, while Ejecting the Dems who try to sneak in.

“reporting would be honest and less dangerous and biased.”

That defines the media. They won’t change

British troops burned down the White House and other government buildings in Washington, D.C. during the War of 1812, on August 24, 1814.

I would submit that that was the mother of all Whitehouse demo jobs......I think we’re good.

The media is trying as hard as they can to make this non-story into a major scandal. I saw a clip of some news bimbo asking Karoline Leavitt: “Could President Trump demolish the Jefferson Memorial if he wanted to?” These people are truly idiots.

The White House was not built in 1792. Adams was the first to go in and even then, it was not complete and they complained about that.

As it is, I don’t think Trump doing this is a real big deal. Some of us already know about the major renovations before. Notably that balcony!

Not liking something is not the same as it is forbidden. They can dislike it all they want, but doesn’t mean it can’t be done.

They skipped the 1942 construction of the East Wing that the libs are now all upset about Trump touching, and the $30 million+ price tag for Obama’s “renovations” to the White House.

But it IS a real big deal - not being financed by the taxpayers. Oh yeah, that fact isn’t mentioned.
