Bannon warns New Yorkers against Zohran Mamdani
The Hill ^ | 10/11/25 | Batya Ungar-Sargon

Former White House staffer Steve Bannon is urging New Yorkers not to vote for Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani.

Mamdani, a self-described Democratic socialist, has been leading in polls and has drawn strong criticism from Republicans.

Bannon, appearing on The Hill’s sister network NewsNation, called Mamdani a threat to New York City and said it wasn’t clear where his campaign’s financing was coming from.

“We have no idea where this money’s coming from,” he said in the interview on NewsaNation’s “Batya!” — which will air in full on NewsNation on Saturday at 4 p.m. EDT.

The MAGA ally also alleged that there was a celebration of hate in the streets of the Big Apple on the anniversary of the Oct. 7, 2023, attack that sparked the war in Gaza, when some people held protests in support of Palestine.

Bannon added that he thinks it is possible for President Trump to remain in the White House after 2028, despite the 22nd Amendment’s prohibition on presidents running for a third term.

“I think that there are many different alternatives that, at the appropriate time, after the midterms, we will roll out,” he said. “I think there are many different alternatives to make sure that President Trump is on the ballot, and if he’s on the ballot, he’ll win.”

The people of NYC aren’t going to listen to Bannon.

For the idiots in NY this amounts to an endorsement because it comes from Bannon

Makes you wonder if all the lefties there have become numb to the warnings just like the right tuning out the racism charges. Might be too late as lefties don’t pay attention to results. Just look at the acceptance of homeless encampments.

NYC has over $100 billion in various bonds that are outstanding. All cities need money to finance projects so the question is: who will be foolish enough to lend NYC money? And even if they do what rates will they demand in return for the investment risk inherent in a city run by radical socialists?

Mamdani is going to run NYC into the ground.

New Yorkers will almost certainly elect Mamdani and the city will quickly turn into the dung heap typical of other Communist run cities, like Havana or Caracas. The first effect will be a flight of wealthy New Yorkers to other states to avoid crushing new taxes. I also expect large corporations with headquarters in the City will move to other more business friendly states. Crime will increase and schools will crumble under Mamdani’s policies. His government run grocery stores will be a disaster. With the flight of the wealthy and corporations the funding of his socialist utopia will dry up. Perhaps New Yorkers need to experience the misery of a socialist state before they wake up.

In the end, perhaps New York will be a better fit for AOC in the Senate.

“...We have no idea where this money’s coming from...”

Start with one of the sheikhs in Qatar, then move on to the United Arab Emirates, and then Kuwait, and then Bahrain, and then Saudi Arabia, or perhaps all of them.

Jesse Jackson knows full well that with the election of an Islamist (who only recently became a US citizen), New York City will no longer be called Hymietown. /spit

New Yorkers deserve Zohran Mamdani... Maybe they’ll wake up and figure out their wokeness is rotting away their city like a stage 4 cancer.

He’d still *win* even if almost no one voted for him.

The left will ensure he *wins*.

If anyone else wins, it will be the hand of God.

Lessons don’t come cheap and if this Islamist becomes Mayor of NYC, that city will surely die.

The mayor of NYC has a significant amount of local power, but the election of one person to that office won’t change the basic structure and direction of the city government.

New York has had good mayors and bad mayors. Somehow, the city always survives and eventually thrives. It’s happened repeatedly.

True but at this point, NYC may turn into Detroit.

Baltimore has a nice harbor. Right on the coast. Why is it not a major cosmopolitan city? It used to be one of the largest cities in the U.S. and it is close to Washington, D.C.

Once he is declared Pasha he can sell the contents of the museums and churches for cash and convert the structures into palaces, madrasas, peasant housing and mosques. Win, win, win.
