Obama made the Nobel Prize worthless, such that announcements about fail to stir my bride and I any more. A next Nobel Prize winner? Meh.
It was for his “effort”. Reminded me much of a child getting a participation trophy.

That was a fun day here on Free Republic.
There were so many snarky and wisecrack threads and comments made about Obama. And about the Nobel Peace Prize in general. And how absurd their criteria were for selecting him, when he had accomplished nothing at that point.
“And we still don’t know why.”
Because he fundamentally transformed the US.
And then he went on to bomb the snot out of Libya, tried to overthrow Egypt and failed, and perpetuated a civil war in Syria by arming and funding Jihadist rebels who were also part of ISIS. But he was a socialist and hated Israel so he got a Peace Prize.

World Peace? Not so much.
We went and played when Sadat and Begin came to town. Begin really liked our "Fight Song", I think we played it 26 times in a row.
Carter got the Peace Prize. Has there ever been "peace" in that area? No, and there never will be.
So this means that if Trump is selected he is just as good as obama?
Some prizes I would never want to win.
In the black vernacular, “he don’t know and he don’t care.”
Clue:
It had EVERYTHING to do with the COLOR OF HIS SKIN, not his CHARACTER!
Did we not find that fact, sooner than later?
Awarding Obama the Nobel Peace Prize cheapened it’s very meaning.
A big mistake that can’t be changed of reversed.
He won it for being Black. Amazing.
A DEI Nobel prize.
That’s the only reason he got it other than threats to EU marxists if they didn’t go along.
