Newsom Is Suing the City of El Cajon Because the Mayor Won't Bend the Knee to His Anti-Trump Agenda

While California Gov. Gavin Newsom cosplays being president, promotes his election rigging scheme, and flame-posts on X against President Donald Trump and Republicans, his attorney general Rob Bonta has been busy furthering the state's progressive aims, which include his attempts to torment the Trump administration. Sadly, part of Bonta's marching orders also involves tormenting the law-abiding citizens of the Golden State with frivolous lawsuits.

El Cajon is one of the few red cities left in San Diego County. As opposed to Chicago's mayor, El Cajon Mayor Bill Wells has no problem cooperating with law enforcement in the state and outside of it. Bonta thinks this is terrible because the information could be used for ICE to target some random illegal, or a woman fleeing Texas to get an abortion might be swept up in the information. Despite warnings from Bonta's office, the El Cajon Police Department has essentially told Bonta to pound sand.

So, Bonta is once again spending California tax dollars to sue California citizens. Because despite a $12 billion budget deficit, California has all the money in the world to defend its progressive and anti-Trump agenda... amirite? Bonta took to X on Friday to proudly announce he was suing the City of El Cajon.

El Cajon is in East County, San Diego. It is being sued for sharing vehicle license info with law enforcement in other states. The article also reviews Newsom’s track record on suing other cities, such as Huntington Beach.

El Cajon is one of the few red cities left in San Diego County.

My grandfather graduated from El Cajon High School in a class of 5 students. His family have been Presbyterian progressives since before they arrived from Missouri to this day, albeit very productive church-going people, mostly engineers.

“the state’s progressive aims”

They aren’t “progressive”.

Leftism is a Regression to barbarism.

The Right emphasizes organization and civilization. THAT is progressive.

The so-called conservative press needs to STOP using the language of the Left.

A team from El Cajon won the Little League World Series in 1961. Brian Sipe, later quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, was a member of the team.

I lived in Rancho San Diego (El Cajon) from July 2009 to June 2011. The Iraqis in the area are Chaldean Christians. They are mostly liquor store and restaurant owners. The muslims are in Clairemont near I-805 and Balboa where the mosque is located. There are muslims scattered around San Diego.

Having stated the groups and locations, I also noted that the Mexican cartels are using the Chaldean Christian liquor store owners as leverage in drug related activities.

It was like that more then 10 years ago. Haven’t been back since then, so I can only imagine.

There are many mosques all over San Deigo now...San Diego has like 30,000 from Somalia alone...lol

I lived in El Cajon/San Diego area before 1980, when it was a real nice area. Went though there 2 years ago and did not recognize the place and could not wait to leave. There are more than 6 Islamic centers in the area now. They crashed the San Diego party but good.

I left in September 2014 when my wife developed breast cancer. I've worked from my home office in Idaho since then, so I haven't seen the buildup of mosques. My sister still lives in Rancho San Diego and I still have many friends that get an annual Christmas card. It is no longer a place I want to even visit. My last visit for my high school class of 73 reunion took place at the end of September 2023. I attended all of the activities, but had no real interest in seeing the area outside of the reason for the trip.

There goes the neighborhood. Selling my half-interest in my mom's house was a good choice.
