House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., on Sunday rejected Senate Democrats' who are claiming they are not seeking to allow illegal immigrants to receive health care as a condition for continuing government funding to end the shutdown.
"As a condition for ending the Democrat shutdown, Democrats want hospitals paid MORE to treat illegal aliens than American citizens — including young pregnant women. That’s not an exaggeration," Johnson wrote on X after his "Meet the Press" appearance.

Johnson directed the public to visit Speaker.gov to review the demands Democrats have made during negotiations over the shutdown.

Hooray for Johnson! Showing the public the demoncRAT’s repeated lies.
“The only way to know what’s in the bill, is to pass it.”
Gavin is due a sombrero.
Just medivac them all home!
Did the Speaker get to explain his position before MTP cut him off?
It’s like them saying vote fraud is not an issue.
It’s about time he let his GOP Speaker Voice be heard.
The Dems do not hesitate to bark their demands in front of any mike available.
Of course they do. Many get it illegally through fraud, but most get it through "emergency medicaid". They just go to the emergency room, and by law (The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act - EMTALA), they must be treated . The hospital is then reimbursed under Emergency Medicaid. And it's not jus ER visits. It covers labor and delivery (about 50% of Emergency Medicaid claims), and any other treatment that could be considered "emergent".
I am opposed to them getting Medicaid at all. Why are we allowing that?
And a "whatever else" desert for the same sticky problem about funding. That used to be a profit problem, back when being in the private sector was a respectable thing to do and it was okay for businesses to pay the bills and return a profit.
The solution is to get the illegals out. All of them. Everywhere. Forever. And, get back to the notion of small government, actual charities instead of funding opportunities for government money, and respect for small business.
Democrats gave the illegals a loophole to be legal to receive
health care aka bribing for a vote.
