German police arrested three men they suspect of preparing a serious attack against Jewish targets in Germany for Hamas, prosecutors said on Wednesday, a week before the second anniversary of the Palestinian Islamist terror group’s attack on Israel.
Prosecutors suspect the three men of being foreign operatives for Hamas and of being involved in procuring firearms and ammunition to be used for assassinations targeting Israeli or Jewish institutions in Germany, they said.
“In the course of today’s arrests, various weapons, including an AK-47 assault rifle and several pistols, as well as a considerable amount of ammunition, were found,” the federal prosecutors said in a statement.
The three, identified in line with German privacy laws only as German citizen Abed Al G., Wael F. M., born in Lebanon, and German citizen Ahmad I., were arrested in Berlin on Wednesday. A security source said the three were in their 30s or 40s.
Reuters was not immediately able to contact lawyers for the accused.
Hamas, which has been running Gaza and is backed by Iran, is designated as a terrorist organization by the European Union and a number of other countries including the United States.
In February, four Hamas members suspected of plotting attacks on Jewish institutions in Europe went on trial in Berlin in what prosecutors described as the first court case against Hamas terrorists in Germany.
Anti-terrorism investigators observed the accused meeting in Berlin for a weapon handover before operational forces intervened and discovered functional weapons, including Glock pistol, said a spokesperson for prosecutor’s office.
Forensic technicians are examining the arsenal and searches have also taken place in the eastern city of Leipzig, where one of the suspects lives.

One good thing about these Islamic subhumans is that they have predictable names, so we can easily identify them.
Jew hatred in Germany. Who would have guessed. I suppose “NEVER AGAIN” has a ‘use by’ date on it?
It’s a start, but a looooooong way to go for Germany.
Germany itself is to blame for even having them there in the first place.
But did they really mean to “kill” kill them? It’s Germany, they’ve been all but conquered. I don’t expect real punishment.
If only there was some clue they could use to identify the groups most likely to cause violence and unrest.
Who’d have ever believed that importing 1 million military-aged muslim men into Germany would leave to this?
I’m shocked!
NO.
A few years after German reunification, Germany imposed immigration restrictions on Turkish Muslims, who had been flooding into Germany.
The Simon Weisenthal Center raised the alarm, putting out press releases that Germany was reverting to its racist Nazi past. I heard their press statement reported on KABC-AM while I was driving.
Shortly afterward, under pressure from Jewish groups, Germany backed down and reopened the door to Muslims immigrants. All to prove that they were not racist Nazis.
Jewish groups have long lobbied to open Europe to diversity, partly because they think that diversity is safer for Jews.

Part of the reason Jews are endangered in Germany is because Jewish groups have worked so hard to bring Muslims into Germany and Europe.

As far back as the 1990s, a few years after German reunification, Germany imposed immigration restrictions on Turkish Muslims, who had been flooding into Germany.

Thanks for the information.

Why? Do you believe in collective guilt?
Let me guess - “journalists” in Germany don’t confront Merkel with stuff like this.
When the collective is bad government, the citizens often are powerless to do anything about it.
Thank you very much, one more, for showing the other side to the story.😀
You are wonderful 😊
Otoh, I am perplexed by the sympathy of Jewish NGOs in Europe towards Islamist invaders (I refuse to use the euphemism of „migrant“, preferring to call a spade a spade) - but Christian and secular NGOs are doing exactly the same. No dissenting voices are being tolerated among all the NGOs.
I have Jewish acquaintances who are keeping their opinions on this issue to themselves, yes, but they are every bit as concerned about the invaders and their Jew-hatred as I am - and that’s really saying something (if I had my way, these impudent, deadbeat, devious, yet unintelligent and criminal invaders from Africa and the Muslim Middle East would be on their planes home tonight - together with their vile leftist, non-migrant sympathisers and enablers🤬 Let them live together with their darlings in the latter’s wonderful Third World if they love them so much).
Thus, I believe that the vast majority of the „grass roots“ don’t share the blame😀
But when, Ladies and Gentlemen, when in history has the voice of the Common People ever mattered?😞
Not exactly the same.
Gentiles are welcoming Muslims into their own countries.
Jews are welcoming Muslims into gentile countries, but are determined to keep them out of Israel.
Yes, it’s regrettable, but as far as I know, there have been huge problems with African „bogus asylums seekers“ in Israel in the late 2000s.
As a consequence, the Israeli government is doing its best to keep them out. European governments should follow this example.
Maybe the Jewish NGOs are still hoping to „improve the world“ (tikkun olam) by helping the Africans to go elsewhere in the First World - but it causes harm indeed, to other countries.
Maybe it’s a naive misinterpretation of „tikkun olam“ by the NGOs in question. Don Feder, the Boston Herald writer and lawyer, iirc, did write about this problem once. In his opinion, this misinterpretation was also the reason for the fact that so many Jewish people had thrown in their lot with Marxism. And later, everyone knows what happened in the Soviet Union and, eventually, its satellites in Eastern Europe…
In Mr. Feder‘s opinion, Marxism seemed like a secular version of the traditional „tikkun olam“, which was rooted in the Jewish religious tradition.
And I must admit that I believe him.
Maybe someone on FR has also heard of Mr. Feder’s theory and could help me with an interpretation of it.
On the other hand, a journalist over here, named Alan Posener, who is British born with a German-Jewish father, once wrote that Jews liked to live in a diverse environment, for it felt safer to them from persecution.
When I wrote back - it was on an Internet forum - asking whether this went for all Jewish people, I got no reply. Though I had not mentioned my acquaintances, who were against the Muslims.
Thus, these NGOs just wish to make themselves feel good, I think☹️
