Justice Brett Kavanaugh's Would-Be Assassin Identifies As Transgender, Now Wants Female Pronouns Used

Nicholas J. Roske, the 29-year-old who pleaded guilty in April to the attempted assassination of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, will be sentenced on October 3. According to a Friday court filing, Roske faces up to 30 years in prison. The Department of Justice said in the sentencing memo that they deem Roske's action as an act of terrorism. 

As RedState reported, in June 2022, Roske traveled from California to Washington, D.C., for the sole purpose of assassinating Kavanaugh. Roske wandered the D.C. suburb near Kavanaugh's home armed with a pistol and ammunition, a crowbar, a "tactical knife," zip ties, and other implements in a duffel bag. However, when he saw the U.S. Marshals standing guard outside of Justice Kavanagh's home, Roske surrendered to them.

According to court documents, Roske intended to coerce the justice into changing his views on abortion cases and gun rights cases. The prosecution also said that Roske sent messages on the Discord platform days before the attempt, indicating that he had two other SCOTUS justices in his sights.

This is frightening. What is even more frightening is that this is the third time this week that someone has made a connection between the gaming and messaging platform Discord and evil actions by the people who use it. It really should give us pause.

Here's an additional nefarious connection: in a Daily Wire exclusive, Nicholas Roske no longer identifies as male. He now wants to be identified as a transgender woman who goes by the name of "Sophie."

The man who attempted to kill Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh identifies as a transgender woman and was deeply mentally ill and suicidal, according to court documents first obtained by The Daily Wire.

A filing from Roske’s defense attorneys shows that Roske now goes by “Sophie Roske” and that his legal team will refer to him using female pronouns. A footnote on the filing, obtained exclusively by The Daily Wire, explains that the defense will not use Roske’s legal name “out of respect” for the would-be assassin.

“The case is captioned as United States v. Nicholas John Roske,” lawyers for Roske state. “That name remains Ms. Roske’s legal name, and she has not asked to recaption the case. Out of respect for Ms. Roske, the balance of this pleading and counsel’s in-court argument will refer to her as Sophie and use female pronouns.”

TPUSA co-founder and CEO Charlie Kirk's alleged assassin was in a close relationship with a man who was attempting to transition to female. The Minneapolis Annunciation Catholic School shooter was attempting to transition from male to female. The Nashville school shooter was attempting to transition from female to male. 

Author Ian Fleming said, "Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action." The fact that the transgender agenda factored heavily into the heinous murder of children, the assassination of Kirk, and now, as we learn, an attempted assassination on a Supreme Court justice, cannot be dismissed and needs to be fully acknowledged and addressed.

A source familiar with the legal proceedings in the case told The Daily Wire that Roske was using female identities online before the attempted murder, and now goes by the female name reflected in the defense filings.

Attorney General Pam Bondi told The Daily Wire that the attack is viewed as “political violence” and referred to Roske as a “disturbed individual.”

“This attempt against the life of a Supreme Court Justice was an attack on the entire judicial system that cannot go unpunished,” Bondi told The Daily Wire on Friday morning. “This Department of Justice condemns political violence and our prosecutors will ensure that this disturbed individual faces severe consequences for his deranged actions.”

What those "severe consequences" will be remains to be seen. It is fortunate that Roske chose to surrender before executing his evil plans, and Justice Kavanaugh still walks among us. The same cannot be said for Charlie Kirk, the two children who died in Minneapolis, and the three children and three adults who were felled in the Nashville shooting.  

As my colleague Ward Clark wrote in the story linked above, when Roske pled guilty:

Nicholas Roske is going to jail, and if there is any justice, he'll be there for quite a while. But there are many more out there like him. And even "mainstream" Democrats now seem to want to keep them fired up. 

Tragically, Democrats and the left have not changed. They continue to deflect, deny, and gaslight on this issue of violence on the left, and violence that seems to be enacted by individuals who have been sucked into the transgender cult. Will we work to identify and combat any further evil, or will we allow it to grow stronger and suffer more tragic deaths at the hands of broken and tortured young men and women?

It’s time to stop catering to these people, caught in their world of Make Believe/ Wishful Thinking.
Refer to the birth certificate for the correct pronoun, and leave it at that. Legalese is complex enough without the entire court having to engage in this PC hop scotching of preferred pronouns. Some would argue that use of the wrong pronoun would automatically void any decision made in such a courtroom.
