An upside down flag is a sign of distress. So for a lefty to be wearing a hat with a backwards flag, that wouldn't be unusual.

To be sure it is, however this flag emblem on the hat is either faked or backwards, not upside down. Or the ‘FINISH’ is flipped. Or more likely the emblem patch was removed and was either glued or sewn on backwards if the pic is not modified. The first layer of metadata has been stripped.
