Charlie Kirk's alleged assassin Tyler Robinson wrote a note saying he was going to 'take out' the conservative commentator before he shot him dead, according to the FBI director.
'I have the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I'm going to take it,' the suspect said, Kash Patel revealed during an appearance on Fox News on Monday morning.
'The note was written before the shooting, it was in the suspect's partner's home,' Patel added.
'We have since learned the note - even though it was destroyed - we have found forensic evidence of the note and we have confirmed what the note said because our aggressive interview posture at the FBI.'
Patel did not clarify whether the message was handwritten or digital, or how it was recovered.
Robinson, 22, was taken into custody on Friday in connection with the assassination at Utah Valley University that shocked the world.
Patel also revealed that DNA matching Robinson was found at the spot where Kirk's shooter fired from, as well as on the towel that covered the murder weapon when it was ditched in the woods by the killer.

If he wrote it on a pad, the impression would still be on the rest of the paper. That would be easily recovered. That’s 1960’s CSI stuff.

I think we can all easily and correctly assume it was hard, but he and his lunatic friends have hated Charlie Kirk and others and society for a very long time. Yet, the question of “why act now?” remains unanswered, hence, the exact motive could be more specific than just “We hates it.”
I notice the idiot airline pilot was delusional enough from all the propaganda to think that there is some Charlie Kirk conspiracy to carry out a holocaust of gay people or libs because the pilot made a nonsensical comment about being executed.
This reminds me of how startled the country was that the North Koreans in the Korean War had such an easy time of propagandizing and breaking caotured US troops. A fragile generation, then and now.

I like Kash Patel but in these high profile cases I’m uncomfortable with the deluge of information coming out about the killer, before trial. Fertile ground for change of venue, restriction of evidence, appeals etc.
Patel and others should be more reticent in their rush to the microphone.
Could be hard to seat an unbiased jury.
Actions like this call for swift justice. The evidence is stacked high to Heaven against the guy, so it's an open-and-shut case. There's no justification for appeals.
No, this process should be on the order of days, not years. And an exception should be made here to make this very public and accessible for all the nation to bear witness.

So the roomate knew about a written statement claiming that his roomate boyfriend was going to kill someone, knew what it said, showed LE where it had been written (even though it was destroyed—and maybe he destroyed it) so they could pull forensic info but he didn’t know said roommate/boyfriend was driving 2 hours to a Charlie Kirk rally to kill him. No way. The trans boyfriend knew ahead of time and needs to be charged (after he spills the beans).
If written on a pad of paper, the next few sheets will bear a readable imprint from the ball point on the page ripped off and destroyed.
1st degree murder, death penalty.
