Jimmy Kimmel has taken to social media to weigh in on the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist and Donald Trump ally who died at 31 years old after being shot at a college event in Utah. Kimmel, one of Hollywood’s most vocal opponents of Trump, advised his followers to stop with the “angry finger-pointing” in the immediate aftermath of the Kirk’s death.
“Instead of the angry finger-pointing, can we just for one day agree that it is horrible and monstrous to shoot another human?” Kimmel wrote on Instagram. “On behalf of my family, we send love to the Kirks and to all the children, parents and innocents who fall victim to senseless gun violence.”
Kirk was the co-founder of Turning Point USA, a nonprofit political advocacy group that backed Trump during the 2024 presidential election. He was shot in the neck during a debate with college students at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Kirk was immediately rushed to the hospital by his security. His death was announced by Trump on Truth Social.
“The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead,” Trump wrote. “No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”
Kimmel frequently criticizes Trump on his ABC late night talk show, with Trump often firing back at Kimmel on Truth Social. Trump boasted more than once over the summer that “Jimmy Kimmel Live” will be the next late night show canceled after CBS gave the ax to Stephen Colbert and “The Late Show.” Kimmel later announced on “The Sarah Silverman Podcast” in August that he got Italian citizenship amid Trump’s second term.
“I did get Italian citizenship,” Kimmel said. “What’s going on [with Trump] is as bad as you thought it was gonna be. It’s so much worse; it’s just unbelievable. I feel like it’s probably even worse than he would like it to be.”

FUJK, you did this!
Jimmy doesn’t really want to meet an angry conservative. He just want to stand in back row and blow spit balls. No sale Jimmy. You ain’t stopping this.
Hey, Jimmy ... Eat sh*t and die, you disingenuous, weasely bung hole.
Guns are not violent, Jimmy.
They do not have a mind of their own.
And while you’re at it Jimmy, stop demonizing President Trump and his supporters.
The deep state’s fantasy is to start a civil war.
What they don’t know is how stupid they are.
No, Jimmy, liberal ideology, and people like you that promote it killed Charlie Kirk. Does everyone that openly disagrees with the left now have to look over their shoulder for fear of assassination or murder?
They know they will win.
I agree with sentiment of your tag line, so I will use it. I am under no illusion that I could even shine his shoes but he made me want to be a better person. That has been taken.
*** who fall victim to senseless gun violence.”***
This wasn’t gun violence, Jimmy.
Can you say the word, “murdered” or “assassinated”? You’re an a-hole, Jimmy.
“I know a lot of people have been comparing Trump to Hitler lately, but there are some major differences between them,” Kimmel said. “For instance, Hitler was married to a woman who loved him.
“And I get why people believe Trump is intentionally using words the Nazi used, I just don’t agree that he is,” he continued. “In order to know what words the Nazis used, you’d have to read. You’d have to have some basic knowledge of history. Trump thinks Frederick Douglass is alive and doing a great job. He thinks Lincoln invented the Town Car, OK?
“He isn’t echoing Nazi terminology; he’s coming up with it all on his own,” he concluded. “And you have to give him credit where credit is due, you know?”
He helped cause this. F him and everyone like him.
But they’ve already lost.
Please do. I encourage everyone to adopt it.
It’s too late for “can’t we all just get along”.
FUJK
Statements such as Kimmel’s look nice on the surface. But they mean nothing unless there’s an admission of some responsibility.
As in, “I have demonized conservatives over the years. I have called them Nazis. That was both wrong and inflammatory.”
What a creep. Ugh.
