Israel's military said Tuesday that it had "conducted a precise strike targeting the senior leadership of the Hamas terrorist organization," amid reports of large explosions in Qatar's capital city, Doha.
The Israel Defense Forces did not confirm the location of the strikes in its statement, but said it targeted leaders of Hamas who, in the IDF's words, had for years "led the terrorist organization's operations, are directly responsible for the brutal October 7 massacre, and have been orchestrating and managing the war against the State of Israel."
The Al-Jazeera television network said an ongoing meeting of Hamas leaders in Doha was struck, as they gathered to discuss a recent U.S. ceasefire proposal to end the war in the Gaza Strip.

Israel does what it has to do. However it should be noted that not far from that strike is the huge American air base in Quatar. There are many Americans stationed and in transit there daily. There will be people in Quatar who will blame America for this strike and will seek revenge.
They once offered to release all the hostages if Israel agreed not to target Hamas leaders in Qatar. They failed on their part, so kill all the Hamas leaders.

In addition to the Chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau, Khalil al-Hayya, it is believed that almost all of the remaining leadership of Hamas, including Mohammed Darwish, Mousa Abu Marzouk, Husam Badran, and Taher al-Nunu, were all present in the meeting that was targeted earlier in the Qatari capital of Doha. Reports are suggesting that they had gathered to discuss the ceasefire agreement presented last week by U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.

Yes the US was notified just before the strike.
The Qataris are not going to do anything except blather, they have invested too many billions in US colleges, the airplane for Trump, etc. It does make the Emir look impotent but then Israel does that to everyone in the middle east.
