Police officer draws his gun on a high school student in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after receiving a report that the student had a gun.
Five guns were found on or near school campuses in Albuquerque on Wednesday.
Two students at West Mesa High School are facing charges and are in juvenile detention.
The student in the video allegedly had a gun in his book bag, and another student at the school reportedly had a gun in his waistband.
On the same day, two students at Albuquerque High School also brought guns on campus.
According to police, there was a similar incident at Del Norte High School, where police detained a girl and her boyfriend. They also had a gun.
Albuquerque Public Schools President Danielle Gonzales says the police response was triggered after a teacher heard a student claiming he had a gun in the bathroom.

Appropriate response.
Five guns were found at various schools in Albuquerque in one day.
Breaking Bad
I’d be careful. They might run into Badger and Skinny Pete.
“What you want me on da groun’ fo’, cuz?”
The big-city high school where I taught had metal detectors at every entrance door. Yet it was soooo easy for a student to get a gun into the school.
Here’s just one method (there are others). Student A wants to get a gun into the school. So Student A tells an outside friend to be at an emergency exit door during a class change, say at 1:15 PM. Then Student A arranges to be at that door at that time.
Student A opens that door. His pal hands him a gun in a paper bag. Student A disappears into the crowd, where he might hand off the bag to another pal.
Sure, an alarm sounds when that emergency exit door is opened. But it’s too late.
There are steps administrators could take to minimize this problem. But they’re too concerned about infusing DEI into the lessons to worry about anything else.
I wonder how many illegal aliens or anchor babies are in that video?
Much of the video showed nothing. So it must have been that a policeman entered a school room with his weapon drawn. Should he have come in unprepared for what might be happening?
My immediate question is, how are these children allowed to be entering a school with a weapon in the first place?
An addition to my post #8. When a gun is found in a school, it is all hushed up. It will never make the evening news.
The city police are not called. The school police respond. They take the gun, and make a report. Then both are put in a box, to be forever hidden.
Albuquerque was a beautiful city when I vacationed in the area a couple of times in the early to mid eighties.
Love the high desert climate.
Santa Fe was a little bit too trendy and hippie for my liking.
From what I understand Albuquerque is really, really high crime now.
Lalo Salamanca: I found Saul’s car and it had bullet holes.
Kim Wexler: That’s it?? Bullet holes?? You can’t leave a metal can out in New Mexico without someone putting a bullet through it!

Please see my post #8.
I may be paranoid but considering the commiecrat hold on New Mexico is it conceivable that the cartels have a presence there?
The problems with DEI, are another whole ball of wax that will take time to eradicate it. The unions for teachers need to be eradicated, because they are a major problem that are destroying our public schools.
Two separate incidents at West Mesa High - west side of town, lots of crime in that greater area
Two at Albuquerque High - just SW of the Big "I" the I-40 and I-25 interchange - basically the west end of the war zone.
One off, but near, campus but involving Del Norte High students - not a bad area overall, but crime is higher there than other areas of town.
Six students were charged, four individuals for the on-campus calls and two for the off-campus call.
The call in this video was the more belligerent of the group and was in the classroom.
The junction of I-40 and I-25 is in the heart of the city. Yeah, the cartels are here. Big time.
> Then they need to put cameras at all exit <
They are already there. But they never seem to be working when they need to be. Or they weren’t pointing in the right direction. Etc.
The same goes when a teacher is assaulted in the hallway.
No evidence = no crime = no reason to make the school look bad.
As for the teacher unions. They are corrupt Democrat Party lackeys. It’s sickening. But the unions have no power over what is being taught in the schools, or what safety protocols are put in place.
Those decisions are made by the school boards. Union input is rarely asked for. And here’s where it gets really odd. The school board in the district where I worked had some lunatic members. But the majority were just working-class folks.
Yet they hired principals and consultants who were almost uniformly both woke and incompetent. That’s one hellish combination.
