That’s very true. The current republican party is only surviving because of DJTrump.

The old Republican party has become the new Trumpian party.

The old Republican party is dying while the Trumpian party is thriving.

No need for a “third party”. The Trumpian party AKA Republican is the new party.

Not any more fickle than his ex-friend who he helped win the election.

Well the frat bros of the old Republican party need to get out of the way. No one is showing up in tennis whites asking what the rules are. No one cares if you ran for dog catcher and worked your way up through prosecutor, then attorney general, then governor, then senator, then ran for President.

What people want now is someone who is financially literate.

I agree. Elon is either bipolar, or only has manic episodes of days or weeks. With no depression downside of being bipolar.

Bipolar meaning Manic-Depressive, which is not used much these days.

Trump’s MAGA populists have basically supplanted what was the GOP...

...which will continue with JD, Marco, Youngkin, or the one woman I’d consider—Sarah Huckabee-Sanders. Youngkin is doing political things in South Carolina, btw. Not to be forgotten.

Let the voters decide. Musk is planting a quasi-scarlet letter on Vance, whom we do not know all that well, do we ? We like what we see and know...so far...

How many Teslas and dealerships have been harmed since Musk had his tiff with Trump? What if it was theater to calm the crazies?

Every crowd has one who has to find some sort of fault - while ignoring the good (and salient) news that Musk won’t pollute the process with a 3rd party like Perot did....

Ciaphas Cain: "Trump was an outlier.
He ran as a Republican but was really more of an independent.
Thats why the leaderships of both parties hate him.
He's violating their turf.
He can get away with it because, well, he's Donald Trump."

You are ten years out of date, FRiend.
What you say well applied on June 16, 2015, when Donald Trump rode down the escalator at Trump Tower to announce his candidacy for US President -- ten years ago!

Today, Pres. Trump owns the Republican Party, indeed, Pres. Trump IS the Republican party, he defines what is, or is not, Republican.
One result is the exodus of many old-style Republicans -- the John McCaine, Mit Romney, Jeb Bush, Bill Kristol, Liz Cheney & Adam Kinzinger wing.
In exchange, Republicans have picked up support from many former Democrats -- from RFK, Jr. & Tulsi Gabbard to a very long list of others, including more Hispanics, blacks and white working-class Americans than any Republican in generations.

How many of those will stay with Republicans in 2026, 2028 & beyond is anybody's guess, but, as of today, Pres. Trump IS Mr. Republican and nobody else comes anywhere near close.

Ciaphas Cain: "too many Americans choose to be captives to the duopoly.
And I wish to God that it could be otherwise."

You are simply wishing on a star for impossibilities under the US Constitution.
You are wishing for a parliamentary system such as most European countries have, with many parties, no permanent majorities and constantly shifting coalition governing groups.
That can't work in the USA under our Constitution.
The US Constitution only works with two very "big tent" parties.
If one party splits into factions, then the other party will win every election majority.

If you hate that and want to see radical change to our system and our politics, then you are not a Republican or a conservative, you're a Democrat.

You should talk over your plans for a radical otherthrow of the US government with your fellow Democrats.
Your plans won't sell among defenders of the US Constitution.

The only woman I would have even considered was Jeane Kirkpatrick. I see no one comparable in the political realm. When Congress women show up with pink hats, little paddles.... well...they’re all stuck in the same box...and are simply sheep...

McCarthysGhost: "I’m not advocating for three parties. I’m advocating for two parties."

Naw, you're just babbling nonsense because you hate there word "Republican".
In your fried brain, the word "Republican" means "evil doers", and you want it gone from the political landscape.
You want the word "Republican" replaced by something that does not offend whatever sensibilities you learned as a child, and you want the political influences of Americans who don't come from your part of the country replaced by influences from those who do.

I'm saying all of that kind of talk is just nuts and will only ever succeed in electing more radical socialist Democrats.

What sane person would ever want that?

Well, we don’t need a woman in the White House either. That was my point.
I have worked with and for women in the corporate world. Not one of them was up to the job they had been awarded, due to gender equality and all that horse spit.

I kind of think the “fight” was planned to distance the two from each other and preserve Elon.

In the UK, socialist Starmer got elected in a landslide with 34 percent of the vote because conservatives split their vote between Reform and the Tories..

JD is Lincoln all over again in 2025

He is risen from less than nothingness to stand at the right Hand of President Trump.

Vance will do very well in the debates against the Democrat nominee. His Indian wife will also help with the Asian vote, which is already trending Republican.

It’s been said there’s a fine line between genius and crazy. Musk seems to jump back and forth over that line.
