Tesla CEO Elon Musk has once again started a global debate over the declining population. Recently, Elon Musk warned people Japan will lose nearly 1 million people by the end of 2025. Now once again the tech billionaire has shared another warning on the collapsing population.
Resharing a post on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) Musk has once again raised the alarm about population collapse saying ‘since the turn of the century, and emphasised that artificial intelligence may be the only viable tool to help reverse the trend.

Anyone paying attention to the mating habits (or lack thereof) of Gen Z knows that the US is facing a population crash. Economics, COVID vaccine, social media alienation, and other factors are creating a generation that does not want to, or cannot manage to reproduce. The future will be interesting.
I think the same thing will happen to most European countries as well. The birth rate of Italians is so low, a priest once said that in a couple of hundred years from now; there will be no more native Italians being born.
I appreciate his efforts to solve this problem.
But if everyone in the next generation is one of his children that won’t solve the problem.
So we are a few million fewer than before. We got along fine with fewer in the past. I know it is about the ratio of older to younger but we will survive.
Ban abortion and all forms of contraception.
We will probably go back to a population equivalent to the year 1900.
When one thinks of who is apparently doing the majority of reproducing, the future looks bleak and uncivilized.
It’ll be a black / brown / yellow mixed planet .
We wouldn’t be the only country, so whats wrong with that? How accurate is the world population projection? Are many countries inflating their population counts on purpose?
I look back at the photos and stories from my grandparents, I could handle the population of America from the 50’s to the 70’s. The opportunities were much more appealing but I favor small community and outdoor oriented areas...
So what?
Populations of nations have naturally risen and fallen over all of history, due to war, migration, climate, disease, technology changes, etc...
Who says a population must always increase into infinity?
It’s ONLY because our present society, and governments, are built on a tower of debt and consumerism, that population must always grow to serve it. The same is true in the United States.
Japan can shrink in size until its present debt situation and government implodes, at which point, its population will feel it safe to grow again.
Or it can import 3rd world foreigners, to keep the game going for its elites a little bit longer, and destroy itself.
“When one thinks of who is apparently doing the majority of reproducing, the future looks bleak and uncivilized.”
It will just continue to be much different.
I do not recognize this world very much anymore.
LOL, good sarcasm.
“Economics, COVID vaccine, social media alienation, and other factors are creating a generation that does not want to, or cannot manage to reproduce.”
Actually, it’s Feminism and the laws they’ve put in place. End feminism and things will change, and for the better.
Well Elon is trying to fix the demographic problem single er ah😂
“I think the same thing will happen to most European countries as well.”
Europe will be the first to be repopulated, and by a culture that doesn’t not put up with feminism, so they’ll be around for quite a while. Then, probably, us, unless Trump/Vance can turn our oceanliner around. Japan, China, Russia, and India will hold out longest.
All kidding aside I have a question, if AI replaces many of the white collar jobs, even many medical practices do we need so many people 🤔
Elon seems to be doing pretty well all on his own...
