You can say goodbye to MSNBC, at least the name, because the network is separating from NBC news.
With this parting comes a new name. Eschewing the common conservative nickname "MSDNC," and ignoring the brilliant Rush Limbaugh's branding of "PMSNBC," the network went a different direction. 👇
MS NOW! "My Source News, Opinion, World" is the latest attempt for the far-left network to shake off the stigma that has come with their brand over the last few decades.
So ... the name has changed but nothing else has changed.

You might recall that when Comcast first announced that it was spinning off most of its cable channels into a new company called Versant, MSNBC expected to keep its name. But Versant CEO Mark Lazarus said this morning that NBCUniversal decided to keep the iconic peacock symbol for its own purposes.
So logos for brands like the Golf Channel and CNBC are being remade. CNBC is keeping its name, however. For one thing, the business news brand has multiple licensing deals outside the US that utilize the name. Maybe more importantly, CNBC hasn't suffered from the sort of brand confusion that MSNBC and NBC News have.
The peacock has officially flown away from MSNBC.
People aren't in love with the name, to say the least.
Don't worry, they'll always be MS-LOL in our hearts!

Might as well call it something like:
“The Feminist Channel”
“The Molly Yard Network”
The name has been changed to protect the innocent.
The Golf Channel surely outdraws MSNBC. Probably MSNBC and CNN combined.
Kidding aside, I’m surprised they are keeping the “MS” legacy. That used to stand for MSN / Microsoft back when Microsoft thought it could make money getting into the news platform business. Note how NBC completely pulled its name from the channel. This isn’t some mutual separation, its Comcast jettisoning a toxic liability and scrubbing any connection with it.
The Cornhole Channel outdraws MSNBC.
Maybe Rush has the correct name right from beginning:
“PMSNBC”
