Trump never said this was to produce a ‘deal’. He made it clear this was ‘setting the table’.

That was depressing. No deal, no ceasefire, no peace. Putin fed POTUS a line of bullshit to buy time and he will now crank up the meat grinder.

Sounds promising for a deal later, though. But who really knows for sure what’s going on behind the scenes, keeping that deal from coalescing.

No info on a cease fire at the conclusion of the meeting, some agreements but nothing announced. "Kicking the can" is a good description. Trump didn't look happy at the end.
Perhaps the next step is to see what happens on the battlefield. Will there be a tamping down of military activity or will it ramp up again. That will be worth watching.
It’s all going to be decided in tomorrow’s dogsled race to Nome.

This smells like a fiasco. No questions from reporters!? This proves one thing: there are ZERO agreements.
All this hype during days... for this ZERO result.

Yes it is, however this was never sold as a meeting to end the war. It was to officially open up dialogue.
That said, Vlad is clobbering the Ukies on the front. Four seperate cauldrons and encirclements, by the time everyone agrees to agree, ( they wonāt) Vlad will be advancing to the Dniepner.
