Russia hoax handmaiden Charlie Savage falsely claimed that the annex to the Durham report said something it never actually said.
New documents shedding light on the Trump-Russia collusion hoax dropped Thursday, and the corporate media are still running cover for the same chicanery they helped launder back in 2016. Especially dishonest is the spin from Russia hoax handmaiden Charlie Savage of The New York Times, who falsely claimed Thursday night that the previously classified annex to the Durham report said something it never actually said.
The 29-page annex is a byproduct of Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation into the decision by Barack Obama’s intelligence agencies to investigate then-candidate Donald Trump in 2016, based in part on a collection of falsehoods commissioned by the Hillary Clinton campaign known as the Steele dossier. In his report, released in 2023, Durham found the FBI lacked justification for investigating Trump and spying on his campaign.
He also found that the Obama intel agencies had been made aware of intelligence suggesting Hillary Clinton planned “to vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference” by the Russians. In 2016, the Clinton campaign’s law firm commissioned the Steele dossier, which included salacious lies about Trump and Russia, and shopped it to the FBI, which then launched the Crossfire Hurricane investigation into Trump. In his report, Durham blasted the agencies for falling for allegations of Trump-Russia collusion despite their foreknowledge that it could be a Clinton-engineered hoax.
The annex released Thursday includes Russian intelligence memos obtained by U.S. agencies that evidence Durham’s suspicion that Clinton had approved a plan to smear Trump. The Russians claimed to have obtained several emails from Soros executive Leonard Benardo, one of which said...

Don’t Believe The Lies From NYT about [ FILL-IN-THE-BLANK ]
.
When did Kash find the bags? That Fox story could have been pre-written weeks ago.
These kinds of facts light up my lawyer’s mental dashboard. The implications are astounding. And it is terrible news, both for Democrats and (obviously) the RussiaGate conspirators.
First, consider what it means that someone secured those bags and prevented their destruction. Only a very small number of people knew the documents existed— perhaps fewer than a dozen. Of those, even fewer could have known about the destruction plan.
In other words —better sit down for this— sometime after Durham issued his report, the conspirators decided to destroy the evidence, but one of the key players thwarted the plan and hid the bags for some reason. Maybe for self-preservation, maybe for blackmail, or maybe for another reason. I’ll get to it.
Second, Kash obviously knew where to find them. It defies logic that he could have conducted a top-to-bottom sweep of the vast Hoover building and randomly found some stray burn bags in a dusty SCIF on the 11th floor. No. Somebody must have told him where they were.
The most probable conclusion from these facts is that one of the key conspirators is cooperating. Which means they have everything.
If I can see this, it means the conspirators can surely see it, too. Which means they can’t talk to each other anymore; it’s not safe. They don’t know who’s talking, and they know the DOJ has enough evidence to get FISA warrants to monitor their comms. So the conspiracy has collapsed; the center could not hold.

Logical and quite interesting information. I hope Penitentiary Face Brennan is having paranoid sweats.
I assume some lowly GS-5 is responsible for actually burning the bags?
Could the thwarter have been someone not a key player?
As I said on another thread, I never worked for the FBI so I don’t know how they do things.
I further hope Brennan or another will rat out Obama and the rest of them.
Since I believe the Russia Hoax was a seditious conspiracy, I’m not really likely to believe a statement from one of the primary conspirators.
Incidentally, I don’t really care whether Savage is charged as a criminal. In jail, out of jail, whatever... as long as this journalist/conspirator is discredited.
The leaders appear to me to be the only chargeable criminals in this story.
Also, I believe it is SOP is to shred documents before putting them in a burn bag.
Seems, the first announcement was made by Bongino in May.

EXCLUSIVE: FBI Director Kash Patel found a trove of sensitive documents related to the origins of the Trump–Russia probe buried in multiple “burn bags” in a secret room inside the bureau, sources familiar with the incident told Fox News Digital.

“They don’t know who’s talking”
And if they do know, can we expect a suicide in the park with the gun missing?
Or will it be something more exotic?
Don’t believe the NYT about anything ever, including allegations that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, and water is wet. Fact check even that.
