Europe’s Forgotten Enslavement: The Brutal Islamic Slave Raids That Captured Millions
Gateway Pundit ^ | July 29, 20225 | Robert Semonsen

While America grapples with its own dark past of slavery, a massive chapter of history gets buried by academics who fixate on Western guilt.

Justin Marozzi’s eye-opening book, Captives and Companions, shines a light on the Islamic world’s slave trade, spanning over a millennium with unmatched scale and savagery. This isn’t ancient news, but it is a wake-up call for historians.

Marozzi estimates that from the 7th century to the 20th, up to 17 million Africans and Europeans were enslaved in Muslim lands, dwarfing the transatlantic trade’s 11-15 million.

Castration created eunuchs for harems, with Victorian-era Sudan alone seeing 35,000 boys die yearly from botched operations to supply 3,500 survivors.

Yes. Everything on the left, in regards to sexuality, is geared towards its depopulation agenda.

Muslims specialized in taking young prisoners, brainwashing them into islam, then launching them back across the border to fight their own people.

Brian Kilmead wrote a book on the subject. Amazing how both sides were docked in Gibraltar and couldn’t fight each other until they went out into the sea.

“While America grapples with its own dark past of slavery ...”

Actually slavery in the USA is ancient history - no grappling needed. It is over.

What is a substantial problem is the inability of many of the slave’s descendants to integrate into modern civilized society. Terms like ‘chimping out’ and ‘ratcheting’ to describe the activities of groups, not all, of these folks to act peacefully and take responsibility for their own lives.

The Barbary Coast Wars 1800-15 are regarding as the first major overseas intervention by the USA. (Meanwhile Napoleon was busy declaring war on Russia and Spain and the rest of Europe.)

The Janissaries were taken as boys from Christian families and forced to convert to Islam.

One of the Muslim commanders in the battle of Lepanto in 1571 was an Italian who had been captured as a young man to be a galley slave and later converted to Islam.

The village where some of my ancestors lived was raided by Muslims on at least two occasions and people taken away as slaves. I think the last recorded Turkish slave raid on western Europe was in 1816 (Sardinia) but for centuries people traveling by sea risked becoming a galley slave.

One of the reasons the Vikings were so feared by their neighbors was that the Vikings were more than happy to capture and sell them to the muslims around the Black Sea.

In 1492 Colombus sailed the ocean blue.

1492 is also celebrated as the end of the 800 year war against Islam in Spain.

Morgan Freeman once said that we needed to stop talking about it. I agree.

You sure they were Vikings?

From https://encyclopedia.yivo.org/article/345 The Middle Ages

The first information about Jewish merchants in Eastern Europe dates from about the tenth century. In this period, Jews took part in the slave trade between Central Asia, Khazaria, Byzantium, and Western Europe (in particular the Iberian Peninsula). Important stopping points on the trade routes included Prague, Kraków, and Kiev, towns in which Jewish colonies developed. During the twelfth century, Jews were excluded from this trade, due in part to church opposition to their dealing in Christian slaves.

The capture and enslavement of European women generations ago is why many of the Arab and muslim elites look white.

The Vikings had slave routes from the Baltics down through the Volga and other river systems to Byzantium and the Black Sea coasts, founding Kievian Rus along the way. Natives all along the Volga fled when longships were spotted.

Enslavements in the British Colonies more like it. After the Revolutionary war, it was about 65 years until slavery was abolished. It was a gift from the Brits, Spanish and French.

I wasn’t denying Vikings weren’t trading back in the day. It was big business for the times. I was just pointing out the Jews and the Turks were in the same business and the description given in that pluto link of ‘Blonde, tall and honey colored eyes’ must have been high on the list of sought after qualities by all slavers.

My understanding of world history holds that the reason King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella financed CC's voyage west to seek trade with India and China was because Islam had blocked the overland "Silk Road". Simultaneously many Greeks fled Greece to escape Islam and relocated to Venice/Florence which ignited the Rennaissance.

Making unuchs and disposing of female slaves’ babies prevented slave populations from ever threatening the masters and created an everlasting demand for for more slaves.

Black people were integrating into society as they left the south to take the place of the white boys who were going to war in the forties. That was a imic of the traditional progress of large immigrant influxes like the Irish and Italians. That proceded apace through the fifties until the Democrats with LBG slammed it to an abrupt halt with War on Poverty which pushed man out of the home and strongly discouraged marriage resulting in the faherless children pathology of the modern ghettos. Plenty has been written about those results without much ascription to the main cause.
