A Change.org petition is calling for Cheltenham High School in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, to remove Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from its Hall of Fame.
The petition, which the Cheltenham High School Alumni Association started, says, "Benjamin Netanyahu's presence in Cheltenham's Hall of Fame sends the wrong message to current students — many of whom have spoken out against his continued recognition."
"Netanyahu has been indicted on corruption charges and now faces an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court for alleged war crimes in Gaza," the petition reads. "These are not credentials that belong in a school hallway."
Netanyahu was born in Tel Aviv, but he also spent time growing up in the United States. He graduated from Cheltenham High School in 1967.
Brian W. Scriven, the superintendent of schools in the Cheltenham School District, said in a statement that "no decision" has been made regarding Netanyahu's status in the school's hall of fame after he met with officials from the alumni association on Monday.
"We understand that this is a topic of deep concern to some members of our diverse school community as well as the broader public. Given the complexities involved and the heightened public discourse, we must proceed in a deliberate manner," Scriven said in part.
"At this time, as the alumni association prepares to induct a new class of hall of fame members, the district is focused on ensuring all internal processes — from selection committee meetings to candidate evaluation criteria — are conducted fairly and consistently and with collaboration among all constituents," he added.

That particular High School has been around for quite a while, in fact, Bibi himself graduated from that school back in 1967.
So, it’s not as though he has no direct connection with the school. I didn’t know this either, until now.

Notice in the Google Earth view, the building that is immediately to the northeast of the Catholic Holy Family Church - that building is destroyed.

I don’t claim to know everything but Benjamin Netanyahu’s father came to Philly to teach at Dropsie University yes that’s the name of the school in North Philly back in the day.
I used to walk past it in the late 1970’s-early 1980’s. The school later moved to the suburbs.
His eldest sons went to school at Cheltenham High just outside North Philly in Montgomery County.
Benjamin Netanyahu graduated from it in 1967. A decade later Mark Levin would graduate from the same high school.
Israel did not pay for its children to go to high school as I read in the oral memoir given by its first prime minister David Ben Gurion.
I surmise Netanyahu’s father came to America so his sons could go to high school without expense to the family.

Let’s start a petition for Hillsdale College to take over this high school. Any teacher who objects can.....well.....
Hillsdale is assisting with charter high schools to return to reading, writing and arithmetic. The Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution are celebrated as the miracle they are.

Tell ‘em to go to purgatory for a few million years, and the school will covenant to have at least one mass a year for them.

Two things here:
1. He is being charged with crimes, not found guilty. I could say the school officials are acting in an anti-Jewish way making them racists. Open racists should not be connected or in charge of anything to a youth education program. Maybe they should resign and leave the school to people that understand what they are doing.
2. In the grant scheme of things, taking Bibi out of this small incidental little acknowledgement don’t mean squat. He’s got bigger fish to fry. He’s the leader of an entire country and of an entire race within in. The school...big deal.
