Less than a day after city workers painted an iconic tunnel in downtown Los Angeles white, vandals tagged it again.
...
The 2nd Street Tunnel, which was opened in 1924 to relieve congestion in the nearby 3rd Street Tunnel, is a widely-photographed location, especially for fans and makers of cars; the Los Angeles Times in 2009 referred to it as “the most recognizable city landmark most Americans have never heard of.”
The 2009 article noted that, between 2006 and its publishing, 73 commercials for auto brands were shot in the tunnel.
It’s also been used in many movies and music videos; some notable movies shot in the 2nd Street Tunnel include “Blade Runner,” “The Terminator,” “Independence Day” and “Kill Bill,” among many others.

These criminals post on Instagram but apparently the LAPD is unable to find and arrest them.
This is what they voted for.
IIRC, there is a coating that can be sprayed on buildings that will not allow paint to stick, it just runs off..................
The damn graffiti is such an eyesore.
What compels the youth gangs to defame public spaces?
Graffiti is a big problem in so many places.
This is just like those “protests” in front of ICE buildings. If they were serious, they would lay a trap, surround the perps and arrest them all. But they’re not serious. They are allowing this.
Besides, solving a problem then allowing it to pop back up only results in more tax dollars flowing to government.
Third worlders behaving like third worlders, even those whose families have been here for generations.
The police would be on it if it were painted BLM.
Taggers should be shot on sight.

It is the same reason male dogs pee on fire hydrants—to mark their territory.
The morons (”Democrats”) who run LA simply do not care, and the morons (”Democrats”) who elect them apparently do not either.
This problem is easily solvable:
1. Offer a $1,000 reward to anyone who witnesses vandalism in process.
2. If the vandal is caught, the punishment is a $10,000 fine and 2,000 hours of community service. The community service would entail painting over the areas that have been vandalized. Four hours a day for about two years.
3. For the tunnel, station out-of-sight law enforcement near each end of the tunnel. Wait for the vandals to show up and being their defacing of the tunnel. Arrest them, then apply item 2 above.
It is really not that hard if someone has the will to do it. But if you want a real problem solved, never, ever expect a Democrat to do it.

Maybe it should be patrolled by LE?

75 IQs and a sense of entitlement?
Vandals spray-paint it again within hours.
It’s why they don’t have checking accounts they can’t sign the checks with a spray can.
