He’s got absolutely no qualms about producing nothing, being unemployed, and living off of someone else—which is to say he’s just your average socialist/communist.
Recall that Karl Marx lived off of handouts from Freidrich Engels, and was once so broke that he left his wife to pawn his last pair of pants instead of just getting a job to support his family (walking around in his skivvies for who knows who long). Even his own mother knew him to be a loser, famously quipping this: “if only Karl made capital instead of just writing about it.”
How can anyone think Mamdani would be fit for office with idols like Marx? He doesn’t want to work, he can’t manage money, and his grand plan is to live off someone else’s capital.
Western Lensman nailed it when he characterized Mamdani as a “silver spoon socialist.”
Well, there seems to be a lot of that in the progressive left.
I mentioned Marx above, but must add that he was born into a wealthy family—his father was a lawyer, and he never went without.

A friend of mine, passed away 8 years now, went to school with Castro. They remained friends until after the revolution when my friend, a journalist as an adult, started writing articles critical of Castro. At that point, Castro added his long time amigo to a death list. Like so many others my friend and his family fled to Miami.
Mentioning Castro reminds me I’ve been thinking more and ore lately that the young Mamdani fans are like the Che Guevarra fans of the late 1960s-1970s. Half the college bedrooms had a Che poster.
A good commie never spends their own money, comes from great familial wealth and luxury, and gets a college education. Fidel, Marx, Pol Pot, the inbred North Koreans, AOC, Obama, and of course, Zohran.
He was so high class he lived in his parents’ house bedroom instead of the usual basement with the game console and chair of the middle class kids.
I remember overhearing a dopy aging hippie around 1980/1981. (I saw him in a pro-Iran demonstration praising the taking of hostages. Some buddies and I were in the counterdemonstration jeering them.)
