The White House appeared to respond to rumors that either President Donald Trump's Attorney General Pam Bondi or FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino was out following the Department of Justice's announcement about no Epstein "client list."
"President Trump has assembled a highly qualified and experienced law and order team dedicated to protecting Americans, holding criminals accountable, and delivering justice to victims," a statement on Friday from White House principal deputy press secretary Harrison Fields read, per Semifor White House Correspondent Shelby Talcott.
White House statement on today’s FBI/DOJ Epstein news cycle:
“President Trump has assembled a highly qualified and experienced law and order team dedicated to protecting Americans, holding criminals accountable, and delivering justice to victims. This work is being carried out…— Shelby Talcott (@ShelbyTalcott) July 11, 2025
"This work is being carried out seamlessly and with unity," the statement added. "Any attempt to sow division within this team is baseless and distracts from the real progress being made in restoring public safety and pursuing justice for all."
The post followed one from The Daily Wire's White House Correspondent Mary Margaret Olohan, who wrote on X, "BREAKING: Source close to Dan Bongino tells me it's either him or Pam Bondi, and that he won't stay at FBI if she stays at DOJ."
A second post read, "Confirming this from @ShelbyTalcott, per source close to Bongino: 'Bongino, in particular, one source said, is frustrated that the DOJ, at the start of this week, declared the Epstein case effectively closed and determined that the accused sex trafficker died by suicide while awaiting trial, with few further details shared. He wants more documents unsealed, the source added."

"MORE: Source close to DOJ says [FBI Director] Kash Patel also wants Pam Bondi gone, and that he'd consider leaving if Bongino leaves. Also that, there are more frustrations with other documents Bondi hasn't released," a third post read.
Olohan also posted the WH statement Friday and wrote on X that "NEW: Source close to DOJ leadership tells me 'Deputy Attorney General Blanche, Kash Patel, and Dan Bongino started drafting the released [Epstein] memo in early July and worked on it through July 4 weekend. After providing some edits, Kash and Dan signed off on the strategy and contents. Director Patel wrote that the memo was 'good with FBI."

As RedState reported earlier this week, the host of the Sirius XM "The Megyn Kelly Show" podcast broke down why she thinks Bondi's "days are numbered" following the DOJ announcement that no Epstein client list exists and that he committed suicide in 2019.
Megyn Kelly Breaks Down Why She Thinks Pam Bondi's' Days Are Numbered'
The podcast host and her guests discussed Bondi's past messaging on Epstein compared to her latest ones after the release of the report from the DOJ.
You've got the Bondi statements over and over," Kelly said. "The one saying, she didn't say the files on my desk. She was asked specifically about the client list, and she said, 'It's on my desk right now.' Then, a week later, she promised Jesse Waters she was about to dump some sort of information dump that we were all going to be really interested in.
The next day was the influencer debacle at the White House where, for some reason, she invited some of the president's most loyal supporters and tried to humiliate them by giving them Epstein filemarked binders, which had nothing new in them," she added. "It was all publicly released information that had already been out there. Then, she acted indignant. 'She didn't know,' 'it was the sleazy FBI who had withheld the real documents from her.' She was going to get to the bottom of it.
She said further release would come. One did not come," Kelly continued. "Then she was caught on tape saying there are tens of thousands of kiddy porn or child pornography material that we found. Which again is like a third issue over here. And next thing we know, there's no there there.
This is a developing story. RedState will provide updates as more information becomes available.
“BUT I suspect he miscalculated the depth of the SWAMP.”
Exactly right. Like Trump did in 2016.
I am having a hard time believing President Trump did not know all about the Epstein files.
You and I had our suspicions.
I know I would never have promised anything about those files without looking at them first.
Well Trump made it important and all his speeches he brought this up..Releasing the list...
p
We know that the senators, representatives, media are always skewing the narrative. We know most of the cuhrap that is on TV , moves, etc is pure publicity b.s....why not bust their heads with fake stuff also? I agree with you also.
RE did you watch Bongino carefully? The body language and the look on his face were like a hostage’s when declaring that he’s not being tortured by his captors.
Maybe an analyst can examine the blinks to see if Bongino was signaling in Morse Code “Help, MAGA, I am not allowed to tell the truth.”
Sounds like none is leaving
I think Trump is still surprised by the depths to which the CIA and Deep State can stoop.
But it shouldn't be surprising that the CIA took full advantage of Epstein. When you think about it, Epstein's underage honeypot operation was an incredible opportunity to entice powerful perverts around the world. We normies had no idea the world was so perverted.
It's crazy, I tell ya...crazy.;-)
In other words bongingo is a child, a loose screw,no loss if he goes.Kash Patel and Pam Bondi on the other hand are as good as they come.Hopefully, neither one will go anywhere. This adm. needs them both.
Putting those kind of people on the spot or in jail is no easy task. No telling what they did for Epstein and since he's not around they will take the brunt of the punishment. It's likely Epstein turned them over to intel for even more bribery. That means that the CIA,Mossad,MI6,whomever used those who slept with young girls and continued Epstein's bribery on them became assets.
Legality is all over the place and unknown with this.
Most of the perps can afford $5,000 dollar hour lawyers who would wreak havoc with the judicial system stretching any prosecution out forever. No one involved wants to see that happen.
It's likely neither side wants this out in the open. Neither the govt. nor the perps who slept with the young girls and got compromised by Epstein on film. Also, there is no telling what the perps who were high up in both business and govt. had to do for whom to keep their dirty little secrets hidden.
So is it likely that the CIA and who knows how many other intel groups are all over Bondi and Pres. Trump not to reveal any more than she has to regarding "the newly found assets" that these intel groups are now running.
That alone has to be huge pressure for Bondi and our President to consider.
Worrying about what maga thinks about all this is likely not too high on either President Trump or Bondis' list and it should not be.
Public opinion does not matter—until it matters...
Great post.
There is no telling what intel group used who for what purpose. Did they compromise a shipping executive to tell when a ship loaded with contraband, anything from drugs to arms, was going when and where? Did the intel group then act on it? Just imagine anything that happens to those in the know is actionable. No telling what happened or what is happening now.
Outing those people and those who ran/run them could create a world-wide cluster that no one wants.
ITS ALL A CONSPIRACY: UNTIL ITS NOT!
And of course you are right.
