Musk’s primary threats pose danger for Republicans

Elon Musk is threatening to primary Republicans who voted for President Trump’s “big, beautiful bill,” posing a challenge for the president and his allies as they look to defy midterm headwinds.

Musk vowed earlier this week that Republicans who supported Trump’s megabill “will lose their primary next year if it is the last thing I do on this Earth” as the Tesla CEO has reignited his feud with Trump in recent days.

Republicans see the comments as unhelpful, with some saying if the threats come to fruition, it could risk diverting resources away in an election environment that historically hasn’t been kind to the president’s party in power.

All Elon can do is help Democrats, wonder when he’ll figure that out.

He’s talking about a new party on twitter:

‘The America Party is needed to fight the Republican/Democrat Uniparty’

I agree. This will fracture the conservative voters in a way that benefits the Democrats. I would MUCH rather see Musk find a candidate and support him within the GOP framework rather than conduct that support through another party.

All the Repubs had to do was show Elon the slightest respect after his efforts and the tremendous price he paid for them, and be serious about killing leviathan.

But it was more fun to insult him and expand the spending.

"if it is the last thing I do on this Earth"

I'm down with that. Musk can take one of his rockets to Mars for all I care about whether or not he's on this Earth.

Musk sounds like he's more consumed with revenge than reformation and what's good for the country.

If Elon has started his own 3rd party, none of his candidates can possibly be in a Republican primary.

He could just use his money to back “conservatives” in primaries because a third party isn’t going any where. Especially one run by a rich foreign weirdo

Agree. Musk understandably feels betrayed. With the GOP’s sordid history of false promises and back stabbing you’d think he might have expected this kind of behavior. Just saying.

They say that Musk has a mild form of autism called Asperger’s Syndrome. I have a nephew with the same diagnosis. Although my nephew is a good kid and we’re all deeply saddened by the difficulties he has in life I,personally, thank God that he doesn’t have $100 billion...or even $10,000...because I have a pretty good idea what foolish things he might do with it.

Musk will end Uniparty once and for all. Elon Musk is world’s most successful businessman, inventor, world class engineer, entrepreneur. He is FIFTY Times more successful than president Trump will ever be in business. I trust him to change the country back to its roots when there was no federal income tax, no food stamps to able bodied working age adults, and lots of tariffs.
That is what made America prosperous.
