“MsB - golly girl what else can’t go wrong the gallbladder will mean a profound change in diet won’t it or are there supplements you could take to help. Hope you and your sweet hubby are doing well. You are such an inspiration and so many ways.”
Thanks for your kind words, Dolly.
It is going to be a very long road back, this time.
I am doing very well, all things considered, but I hate that I tire so easily.
since going over to keto, eating smaller meals at certain times of the day along with intermittent fasting has made mealtimes easier for me so far, and mostly no ill effects.
The first few days after the surgery were Hell on wheels!
Spent alot of time on the potty!
Yes Indeed.
I don’t mean to be insensitive, but what changes in diet? I’m guessing you had your gallbladder removed. So, have I, I think around 2008 maybe, but I haven’t had to make any changes. I’m still putting down the same stuff—mostly keto, but sometimes fatty foods, ice cream, cakes, cheese cakes, cheeses, butter.
Again, I’m not trying to criticize. Why am I different?
My oldest daughter had her gallbladder removed years ago. She eats everything under the sun.
It is too soon to eat very heavily right now.
Some people do not have to adjust much, heck, Mike made me bacon and eggs my first morning home, and it sat just fine.
Time will tell!
>>> My oldest daughter had her gallbladder removed years ago. She eats everything under the sun.
Spunky I’m the one who mentioned restricted diet and that was based solely on what i recall was my moms situation over 45 years ago. If she had anything “greasy” she got a terribly upset digestive tract. Perhaps she had something else additionally removed?
A1 overview
Gallbladder Removal Diet: What to Eat and Avoid
After gallbladder removal, also known as a cholecystectomy, diet adjustments are crucial for a smooth recovery. Initially, a clear liquid diet is recommended, gradually transitioning to a low-fat diet as tolerated. While most individuals can return to a regular diet within a month, some may experience temporary digestive issues with fatty or spicy foods. It’s important to listen to your body, eat smaller, more frequent meals, and focus on lean proteins, fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

I would think that Trump and Putin have a whole lot to talk about in addition to the war with Ukraine. If true that Zelensky is trying to nose in on this meeting in Alaska….well all I can say he continues to have a whole lot of gall - and not bladder.

“I observed a girl 25 or 30ish walking into the store with an atomic wedgie lol. Her shorts were seriously disappearing. Then, as if that was bad enough.....a few minutes later a woman came out of the store and she had only put on a t-shirt to cover her bathing suit to come into town to the store! She had on a t-shirt that wasn’t that long, as you could see the bottom piece of her bathing suit. She was 50ish, and quite chubby. Well, she walked by my car and I was stunned. It was a full thong! Not a stitch of bathing suit bottom on the back! “

So apparently, the dietary restrictions vary from person to person.
I had a doggie once named Lynn-Dah, a black Lab/Chow Mix. She got quite elderly and had trouble walking. One day, I took her to the beach in Marshfield. She joyfully got in the water and began to swim, and I thought she was going to go all the way to England. The swimming helped her arthritis.
Years later, I had another dog, Penny the Pitbull, who not only hated the ocean but would prevent people from going into it. She yanked my sister out of the surf by the pantleg.
On the way off the beach we saw the sign that warned of the sharks in the area. I hadn’t realized that Pitbulls could READ!
