Tsunami watch issued for Washington State coast following 8.7-magnitude earthquake.
The earthquake was in Russia.
THAT one was a little bigger than I appreciate. Wow!

Looking further into the data on the earthquake, it was in the ocean. Basically, that is a good thing because it means less damage to buildings, roadways, etc. The tsunami is expected to reach Tacoma, WA about 2AM but will only be around a foot high. I am interested in how far that foot high wave will be pushed ashore. Looking at the Pacific Rim, the whole thing is being rung like a bell and there have been earthquake responses all over the Ring of Fire. That area is sloshing around and will take a while to settle down. That energy has to go somewhere.

It is getting a bit nerve wracking. I don’t live close to any of these though.

Well I don’t think it will be at 102 when we go out to eat. IF it does get that hot it will be around 3:00 p.m. Right now Alexa is telling me it is 83 degrees out and it is noon. At least we don’t have the humidity.
