I have a couple friends that lost a lot of weight quick, one got dentures and one had an illness. They are really happy with their weight loss but to me they just look old and fragile now. They lost it so quick that they don’t have any Muscle left. Their faces just look haggard.
I’m not a very good friend to say this am I? Well, it has stopped me from trying to lose quick and to start exercising and do it healthy.
Thanks, Dolly, I’ll have to see if it’ll fit. Hubby brought home 16 pounds, that might be kind of big for my biggest crockpot.
Well ahead of the storm a friend of mine told me she saw a cat at the Moose Lodge. So of course we went over to check it out. There were actually four. Luckily a lady was taking care of them and they did look well fed. But they didn’t have any shelters. So ahead of the storm I couldn’t just leave them there. Went to Lowe’s and got some totes, filled it with straw from our barn and put in a hole for a door. Drop them off. They will still be miserable at 4° but at least they have someplace to get out of the weather and cuddle together. Look like two gray and white big cats were litter mates, and there were two smaller ones probably kittens from the summer. Hopefully, they cuddle together in their separate totes.

So, I have a bugaboo that is annoying me.
I am watching so much on X regarding Melania and the movie, etc. People are just over the moon and praising her to the moon and back. Yes, she’s beautiful, smart, elegant, glamorous, etc. All of it. Great mother, great wife, etc.
What I find a little hypocritical is that nobody from these adamant pro-life MAGA people ever says a word about Melania being pro-choice, up until birth. Even if it’s pointed out, they just ignore it. I find it somewhat amusing. Are they so enthralled with her that something like taking the life of an unborn child doesn’t matter any longer?

Remember with Nancy Reagan, nobody seemed to like her much, she was more liberal than Ronnie, but she stood by him so we tolerated her.
I don’t think Melania ought to be the door just because she’s married to Trump, maybe be respected, but that’s it. I never cared for her much after she came out pro-abortion. I think it’s stupid over to even think she should’ve talked about it, she’s only the first lady definitely not elected and nobody cares about her opinions.

I posted something about it on a forum on X. Everyone was going on and on about how perfect she is, and I agreed about her beauty, elegance, etc. Then I said how disappointed I am that she’s so ardently pro-choice. Lol someone told me that I must be wrong. I said I wasn’t.....and that I wondered why she seemed to get a pass. Heck, MAGA rips the left apart on the issue, but for some reason are completely silent when it comes to the beauty queen. Hypocritical.

Which is even more interesting judy. Seems like her book is not a bestseller if not even people on the right have read it.
I kind of see this as positive, for once the right is not eating its own. They are acting more like the left where they accept their people no matter what, even if it’s hypocritical and the logical. We probably ought to do more of that since I’m pretty sick of people bashing Trump, even from our side, because he’s not acting fast enough or doesn’t speak eloquently.
However if you were to come out Pro abortion then he should be bashed. I think that’s a subject with no middle ground. Except for medical reasons
Tons of snow here, looks like at least 4 in. Expecting three more today. Luckily next week will be warm enough that everything will melt. And there will be rain.
We are stuck on the hill. Put a car at the bottom in case of emergencies. And have the snow boots out and ready. Maybe I’ll go for a little walk later. Although at 17° I might come running back home quickly.
I’m so glad my friend found those cats yesterday, she saw some at the moose lodge. A lady was feeding them but wasn’t taking care of their shelters. There was one but it was upside down and open. So I bought another tote and brought straw over and got them fixed up behind a fence where there won’t be any wind. I hope they go in it. They look to be pretty friendly, so might not be afraid of enclosed places. There were two big gray and white ones, I thought they could bunk together. Two smaller ones that look like kittens from last summer, hopefully they can bunk together and keep each other warm.
Sometimes I wish I haven’t moved here because of all the animal cruelty. That would leave out all of the south. And I’m not fond of whether any colder than what we’re having right now. And there wouldn’t be as many animals to help, maybe this is my job.

Nobody wants to hear it because we’re too busy adoring her. I can accept it, as I don’t really care what she thinks. She’s just like Nancy Reagan, Laura Bush, Michelle Obama and likely most of the others when it comes to abortion. She’s just packaged much nicer!

The hypocrisy is what I find so surprising.
MAGA is, for the most part, so pro-life. He’s been the most pro-life president. Yet MAGA gives Melania a complete pass. It’s just pretty amusing to watch the double standard.

My goodness....I think this is the first day in awhile we’re NOT getting snow! I hope you don’t get much - it’s been a brutal winter.
Yes, it is disappointing about Melania. To me, it’s at the heart of everything. All of the beauty, brains, fashion, etc. are irrelevant. It’s the content of character. And anyone who has no issue with slicing up or burning with salt a little human, well, nothing else matters.
As for the president, I marvel at what he puts up with and what he accomplishes. He’s going down in history as a legend.
