We’re not expecting a storm, but the temps are brutal. A bit of snow is likely. I’m rather sick of it. It’s not even February yet. Brutal. This is worse than I remember it as a kid.

Couldn’t get out of driveway yesterday to go to store. Solid Ice. Incline. 2WD
Neighbor came and got us in his mule…took to his home and then drove us to store. Back at his place loaded into mule & brought home. Jeff unloaded
He owns land behind and to east of our lot. 10 acres or so n came that way- not on roads
Good deal of black ice on roads n store parking lot.

Understand amazon trucks are 4 wheel drive here and drivers have special shoes
our drive , deck, pathway solid ice. There is a layer of ice. About 4” snow and layer of ice atop.
Wont melt until temps warm up. More coming possibly this weekend 2-12”. Still cold. Temps well below normal.
I think golf shoes/spikes would be ideal for walking on this mess

You can get those spike things to attach to shoes from Amazon - I had a paid a couple of years ago and they work well. Not expensive at all.
I didn’t know Amazon was that prepared, but leave it to them! Don’t like their politics but they sure do know how to do a good job on software and delivery.
We had some spiky things we attached her our shoes when we were at the cabin, Jack tracks or something like that. I’ll probably have to go find them. We’re parking a car at the bottom of the driveway in case there’s an emergency and we have to go to the vet or hospital. I don’t think anything else would constitute an emergency!

Figure it’ll be good to have around for a snowy weekend, hubby can make it low carb and I can make it not have any of the things I’m allergic to. The list is too long! Although I’m enjoying having to be creative and come up with recipes, more like modify my own recipes. But I need to keep losing weight because I’m going to gain 10 pounds as soon as I can eat normally again. LOL
One question. What is a Boston butt?
I, too, need to keep losing weight. BUT, about a year ago I weighed close to 190lbs. NOW, I weigh 153lbs.
My target is in the 115 - 125 range.
