Well, my dear, you’ll be happy to see Dec. 31st, for sure. Better times ahead!

Try to take this Christmas to do less. I have discovered that over the past ten years, as I did less and less, it doesn’t change Christmas other than to make it less stressful.

I used to do all the shopping, baking, decorating, Christmas dinner, etc.

I have managed to dwindle this down to.....nothing! Lol I write checks to the kids, give some cash to the grands, pay for the dinner and let the kids make it. I usually bake a pie or two....and a cheesecake lol. Might throw in a peach cobbler.

Thankfully my son and DIL agree that kids get way too much stuff these days, so I just give some money for them to buy her what she needs - new boots or something useful.

Don’t feel guilty about taking it easy if you’re tired. It will feel weird at first, but you’ll see how little it actually matters and you’ll feel better. And whatever you do, don’t go shopping on Boxing Day!lol. That always amazed me to see the lineups and people having boxing matches in Walmart. Geez.....I’d pay double just to avoid that nightmare.

Thanks Judy for the good advice. I’ll have to look up Boxing Day again. I know I have looked it up before but can’t remember the details, my bad!

I’ll save you the trouble.

It’s the day after Christmas (like we haven’t had enough running around) where they offer giant sales and people start lining up at 5 a.m. to be the first ones through the doors as soon as they open. Some have been trampled. It’s a mad house. They fight over limited stock. Hair pulling, name calling, screaming, etc.

I discovered years ago that the prices weren’t that great on Boxing Day, and if you needed something it was best to wait until January and February when they really needed to clear everything out.

You’re welcome! :)

I like dog pictures, too.

I, on top of my chronic anemia, had three days, where north and south exits of body fluids was happening every 15 to 20 minutes. I think that has ended, but wow!

Good ole Babylon Bee. Cranberry sauce is not my favorite, but I do eat it at Thanksgiving.

Lol I remember packing up and moving from the house we built and lived in for 26 years. Cleaning out the “lazy Susan” was funny - there were at least a dozen cans of cranberry sauce that I kept buying and forgetting to put out every year. It is a nice color, and does look nice on the table, but nobody touched it.

Well, my cats aren’t nearly so talented. And they do nothing to earn their keep.

You had to wonder when you first saw all the peak on top of the snow. At least it wasn’t red yarn! That could make you panic.

Your description of cleaning it off made me laugh, I could see myself doing that. I’m so cheap. But it was $20! I’ve done something like that for less than five.

Oh my gosh, I had no idea you’ve had such a struggling year. We could compare stories. Although I think you probably “win”

I had a small taste of what it felt like to lose blood when I had my surgery. I had a large hematoma form, blood pressure to 75 over something, and they gave me two units of blood. I was pretty out of it or wouldn’t have consented to tainted blood, that didn’t occurred to me until later. However, in East Tennessee, most people are not vaccinated so maybe....

I also had cornea neuropathy, a horrible, painful disease of the cornea, in February. Then fatigue from an unknown source for months. Then the pelvic floor surgery. Somehow, I thought that would help the fatigue, but I was in such a weak state recovering from this has been horrific. I think I might be out the other aside though, doing better this week finally. Oh and one week before the surgery, I found out I have horrific allergies , my back lit up like a Christmas tree apparently. So that’s the source of the fatigue!

So here’s to a better new year for both of us! Hopefully my immunotherapy injections help. The surgery heals and I get it behind me. And they figure out why you are weak and losing blood.

What ideas do they have?

Writing checks and baking pies, I say you have Christmas arranged perfectly.

If only some of those pies could make it to Tennessee....
