Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) told Senate Republicans to expect to see the legislative text of the budget reconciliation package on Friday evening and then to vote at noon Saturday to begin debate on President Trump’s “big, beautiful bill.”
Several GOP senators, however, refused to say whether they would vote to proceed to the bill, including Sens. Bill Cassidy (R-La.), Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Ron Johnson (R-Wis.).
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) says he’s a hard “no” on the legislation because it includes a provision to raise the debt limit by $5 trillion.

A couple of the senators likely would be happy to not pass the budget bill, and go with a c.r., as they would be able to stick more pork into it, while publicly calling for more spending cuts.
And little big man rand paul still wants everyone else to bow down to his demand of not increasing the debt limit, or he'll vote no...
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) says he’s a hard “no” on the legislation because....he is a whiny little beotch.
Fingers crossed. This needs to get done asap, so other issues can take priority. All done now, in this first year of Trump’s 2nd term, with the knowledge of Midterm elections next autumn.
That will be the acid test- moment of truth. Hakeem Jeffries is eager to show Nancy that he, too, can grab that Hammer of the Majority back into his stained blue hands.
Did Trump force him to man up? Tell the parliamentarian to pound sand?
He is a lying, stupid puke.
Since Harry Reid’s hand-picked DEMOCRAT Senate Parliamentarian is running the show, I don’t have much hope that the “BBB” will be anything other than a Colossal Clusterf*ck.

You are SO wrong.
I stand with Rand on debt increase. It is already fugly big and UNAFFORDABLE.
My grandkids future is paramount for me.
Really? We shall see.
“Really? We shall see.”
We already know.
“I stand with Rand on debt increase. “
see debt increase does not increase spending. without an increase the government shuts down. Trump doesn’t 2ant 5hat interfering with his agenda.
I’d guess it’s moving forward with out the items she said had to be removed..
So the senate bill is a s%%t sammich I bet.
I doubt Trump agreed to that. We will see.
Yes I understand that. But they need to reduce debt limit, not increase it if the Big Beautiful Bill has reduction in spending. Bonds are the canary in coal mine flashing red. I profit from higher bond interest, but my grand children are more important than my income.
These “Hard No Votes” might soften up after seeing the attack ad against Thomas Massey. It’s a quick edit to put their name in it.

Passing a Bill through the Reconciliation Process has specific rules about what can be included in the law. If the Bill exceeds the items permitted by Reconciliation, the Senate will need to overcome a 60 vote cloture vote, instead of just a 51 vote majority (including the VP vote).
I know this.
but having her say what stays or goes is like asking Chuck Schumer the same question.
She was hired by Harry Reid and answers to Chuck Schumer.. Why they kept her around is beyond me.
940-page bill, adds trillions to debt.
So much for smaller government and fiscal sanity...
