Trump administration secretly probing hundreds of scientists from 'countries of concern' like China

The Trump administration has secretly launched an intensive vetting process for hundreds of foreign scientists brought into the United States from "countries of concern" like China, using visas procured with the help of the National Institutes of Health and other federal research agencies, officials told Just the News.

The review involving intelligence and security agencies began weeks ago over concerns prior administrations did not adequately vet the backgrounds of scientists or their ties to actors like China's military or its Communist Party.

But the initiative has taken on additional urgency after three Chinese scientists were arrested in the last month trying to smuggle into America dangerous pathogens like fungi and roundworms capable of destroying crops. An open door to scientific espionage

Officials told Just the News that as many as 1,000 scientists from countries of concern — a large number specifically from China — have been identified inside NIH alone, prompting a monstrous review by the agency's intelligence security office.

China may send a some trained spies into American universities and research institutes.

But that’s the hard way to do it.

Its actually far easier to just target advanced students and professionals from China who are making careers in the USA, and offer the big money and titles to go back, to work for a national champion company, or state-run research lab.

As we have seen at Harvard and elsewhere, they target non-Chinese professionals with such lures of money as well.

Since Operation Grand Slam jointly planned by the Chinese with Auric Goldfinger when James Bond threatened to tell all he knew while under a laser beam, we haven’t trusted the Chinese scientists.

After Goldfinger was defeated, we used lasers to check out groceries at supermarkets and went on from there, never looking back.

The world is populated by some very bad people who wish to do us harm. The U.S. has been operating in a fantasy land wherein it’s all sweetness and rainbows, and all the foreigners are here to advance themselves and their nations, and make us tasty lunches. The truth is quite different. Another example of The Adults now again being in charge of things. May it continue.

China, using visas procured with the help of the National Institutes of Health and other federal research agencies.

Moe I think I found the source of the problem.

I was at a security meeting several months ago and one of the LEOs told a story about a Chinese student who had done something that got their attention. Her parents were both university professors and got wind that they had drawn suspicion. They left everything in their house and disappeared.

Rather than assume that every American citizen boarding a commercial aircraft is a possible terrorist, our government should assume that every Chinese national is a likely spy.

IOW, no more Chinese visas to the US.

I think that applies to a lot of nationalities. If I can’t build a Christian church in Iran, why should they be allowed to come here and build a mosque.

Getting rid of both Chicoms and muzzies from the US would solve a lot of problems.
