So you’re saying that Trump got us into a “war” with Syria during his first term with his weeks of bombings and a “war” with Yemen a couple of months ago then? Not to mention Somalia. And post-war Iraq. Trump’s gotten us into lots of “wars” so far then!
But they all refused and said they wanted to spend more quality time with their families.

On the bright side, Trump now has zero margin of error to fail to do the domestic agenda. Base will move on fast if nothing happens from Iran and mass deportations occur. Otherwise, enjoy a low turnout midterms and the resumption of lawfare. Hope for the best!

There’s an argument they’ve been “retaliating”, at war with us, since 1979.
They certainly killed and maimed/wounded many of our people in Iraq with IEDs.

Our troop presence in Saudi Arabia was the what setoff Bid Laden and his followers.
There is big difference in acting in self-defense and taking Iran's nuclear capacity out and intervening for the reasons we did in both Iraq wars.

We still need a deal. If we cannot make it with the IRGC then the IRGC needs to go and we will make a deal with the next government. Remember the goal is not to destroy nuclear sites. The goal is to convince whoever runs Iran the no enrichment is in their national interest.
I expect the kinetics are not over. Iran may well try to strike back or they may make a face saving attack on a high value target, declare victory, and go to the negotiating table. That is what I expect will happen. I don’t expect they will take a Trump threat as a bluff going forward. Remember we don’t know where the enriched uranium is. There is at least enough to make a nasty dirty bomb and the leadership needs to know if they go that route we will kill them all.
Did Trump say he would not allow Iran to get a nuclear weapon? What exactly is different then what he did with General Soleimani?
