Controversial former Democratic National Committee vice chair David Hogg's Political Action Committee (PAC) is still far from reaching its $20 million funding goal, according to the Federal Election Commission records for the month of May.
Hogg made waves in April for launching a $20 million effort that supports more than a dozen primary challenges against Democratic members of Congress he accused of being asleep at the wheel.
Records now show that Hogg's PAC "Leaders we Deserve" has just $1.5 million in cash on hand so far, and has never raised anywhere near $20 million since it was created two years ago, the New York Post reported.
The PAC also raised $848,000 last month, and spent approximately $798,000, the majority of which went to operational costs. Only $6,000 appeared to go to candidates, the outlet reported.
“David Hogg spent his spring on a kamikaze mission right towards the heart of the Party to raise money for his PAC and, as it turns out, he spent more money on consultants pitching negative stories on the Party than on candidates actually trying to run and win campaigns,” an unnamed Democratic strategist said. “That’s the definition of a grift right there, and should be a red flag for every donor, candidate, and activist that he’s already fooled.”

That face was meant for throat punching.
Our gop leaders need to show us the way by sending his campaign a few bucks.
All the money is going to the murder Trump riots.
You have to work hard to reach that level of grift.
Democrat donors are obviously prejudiced against weirdos. They should be ashamed of themselves.
True enough, but Democrats are real pros at this...
He may be out of power at the moment, but history says keep a wary eye on this guy.
So much is wrong... His jacket sleeve is way short, among other anomalies.
He looks like a poster boy for gay fisting.
It’s actually him and yes that’s his arm. The pic of him is from a speech he gave wearing that tight coat.
Among others, CNBC used that image:
If their donors want it, the money will flow, regardless of Hogg’s feckless PAC leadership.
Hogg would need to raise 50 points of IQ just to be average.
Amazing how so many a-holes are able to reach such positions. Think Maxine Waters.
Hmm. 93% went to “administration”. That’s almost Clinton Foundation level overhead. Doesn’t look like much of it went to gym fees.
