The California Democratic Party is reportedly seeking to address concerns regarding the electability of California politicians following former Vice President Kamala Harris’s defeat in the 2024 presidential election. Delegates have gathered to induct new members and prepare for upcoming elections. Harris addressed the group through a pre-recorded video message, and Gov. Gavin Newsom was absent.
Supporters consider Harris essential to advancing key Democratic priorities, including labor rights and women’s healthcare. However, some Democrats expressed concern about her ability to connect with working-class voters.
Delegate Jane Baulch-Enloe said, “I don’t know if a California Democrat can win a presidential election. California is thought of as the crazy people… I don’t mean that in a bad way — though I know some people do — but we do things differently here.”
Delegate Jane Baulch-Enloe added, “Get people on our side and help them understand that we aren’t just wacko liberals and teach people that it’s okay to want things like higher wages or universal healthcare.”
Polling has indicated that California voters generally approve of Harris, with 50% expressing support. Despite the approval, Harris is expected to face significant challenges if she decides to launch a new campaign. A UC Berkeley IGS poll from April 2025 shows 50% of California voters view Harris favorably. She receives strong support among Democrats, women, and Bay Area residents.
Delegate Ayo Banjo said, “I wonder where her priorities are, and where she’s at right now. I do support her and think that she’s great, but right now I have more questions than answers.”
Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis has expressed interest in the governorship but has noted she would likely withdraw if Harris enters the race. Kounalakis said, “Two years

Sorry to be right again.
Kamala with 50% approval means the state is not on the brink of a revolt for common sense moderates against the leftist Commies with a return to the old days of some GOP gains.
The Governor, both houses of the legislature and the two US Senators and most of the Congressional seats have been Dem for a long time.
50%.
I don’t know, I think 50% right now, in a theoretical race is a pretty poor showing for her.

This alone is symbolic of why California is in deep trouble. Their clueless Democrat voters are even more clueless than their clueless elected leaders. 🤦♂️
That’s about 9% less than actual voters she got on election day. But this poll was just voters, not likely voters.
California has been overstocked with Calitardians for decades.
As long as she stays hidden out of sight and doesn’t speak
They hid her as much as they could in 2024
I would like to see her run. She would do just fine in any debate. She will easily win. Everyone in California would be proud to call her their governor.
She will be much more entertaining than the present governor.
Please put her on the ballot. She is highly intelligent and very articulate.
That is 50% of Caldem delegates no 50% of registered dems
She isn’t going to get close to another office again, no chance after that $1.5b train wreck.
Why do you think they’re pushing Walz so hard? He’s as much as a loser too, but the dems got nobody else.
How are they pushing him?
Josh Shapiro could be a good candidate for him, but his house is attacked by their base.
> seeking to address concerns regarding the electability of California politicians
They need to figure out which of their views to hide to be electable.
50%... according to a poll.
Polls are accurate, the uniparty Californian voting system is not rigged, the covid vaxx is safe and effective.
And Epstein did hang himself.
He’s been in the media front constantly for months. How’d you not see that? He’s more in the news than Crockett, notice how she’s dropped out the picture lol..
Fetterman too, but they’re too sane for the modern democrat party.
Crockett was too n-ish for them too it seems, she’s gone.
Fetterman is interesting, but I don’t think he’d have a chance as president. not sure he could even be a governor.
Hopefully, pretty soon we won’t have Kamala to kick around.
Correct.
