Israel has launched what it called “preemptive strikes” against Iran and a state of emergency has been declared in Israel, according to the country’s Defense Minister Israel Katz. “Following the State of Israel’s preemptive strike against Iran, a missile and drone attack against the State of Israel and its civilian population is expected in the immediate future” Katz said in a statement. Iranian state media outlet IRNA reported repeated explosions could be heard in Tehran.

“In fact, Iranian TV starting to name key military individuals and head nuclear scientist killed. Sounding like decapitation strike may be successful”
Or misdirection. Iranian TV is state run, nothing should be taken at face value.
Israel thinks the same thing
Don’t worry, baby.

There has been no immediate Iranian retaliation against Israel so far. This might be because the Chief of Staff, the IRGC leader and other high-ranking officials have all been killed.
Must be utter chaos in Iran’s chain of military command currently.
They wanted to fight Israel through proxy’s, now the fight has been brought to them.
Keeping the Gulf free is kind of our specialty. I don’t expect that to change just because Israel is taking care of business elsewhere.
Wouldn’t that require repeated strikes over time? Going back to bomb every time they came back to dig them out? How long would that have to go on?
Initial reports that these strikes will go on for days.
The only way to get to them might be to send commandos into the tunnels.
Good.
Yep. The cur caught the car. Bad move.

Strikes targeting Iranian generals and nuclear scientists will continue, a source familiar with the operation says - NBC
They wont destroy the nuclear sites with munitions (at least munitions from a distance). Special Forces will first prevent access to the sites from the surface, then blow them using placed munitions from the inside.
That’s been my assumption. But each blast door takes a huge charge to open it. How do you carry tons of explosive down defended tunnels, and blast open each door in succession?
I have no idea.
Israel believes the chief of Iran’s military, Mohammad Bagheri, and senior nuclear scientists were eliminated in the IDF’s opening strikes on Iran, a defense official says.
The likelihood of their deaths are “increasing,” the official says.
That’s what it looks like. But we don’t know everything. It will be interesting to hear what President Trump has to say about it.
