Oregon Senate Democrats passed a bump stock ban late last week and the legislation also allows local municipalities to ban the carry of firearms in buildings where public meetings are held.
A bump stock ban once existed at the federal level but the Supreme Court of the United States struck it down on June 14, 2024.
In the majority opinion for the bump stock decision, Justice Clarence Thomas made clear the ban faltered in claiming bump stocks turn semiautomatic firearms into machine guns:
Semiautomatic firearms, which require shooters to reengage the trigger for every shot, are not machineguns. This case asks whether a bump stock—an accessory for a semi-automatic rifle that allows the shooter to rapidly reengage the trigger (and therefore achieve a high rate of fire)—converts the rifle into a ‘machinegun.’ We hold that it does not…

Slingshots are illegal in New Jersey so ..Yes they can.
I used to have a VCR tape of how to convert every semi auto rifle to full auto using only a shoe string, rubber band or Super Glue.
Hiram Maxim converted a lever action rifle to a recoil operated semi auto as did Browning.
Anyone remember those hand crank gizmos sold at gun shows to convert semi-autos to hand cranked full autos? Several people I worked with bought them. They said they did not work worth a ***t.

When that doesn’t work, one of the brightest Dems will figure out that it is “The Finger” that causes all the problems.
Your trigger finger will be banned next.
Assault bungee cords must have distinctive coloring to readily identify them so that they don’t offend certain people.
Or amputated if used incorrectly.
PS: If God didn’t want us to have guns, why did He give us trigger fingers?
