President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are seemingly at odds amid a U.S. truce with Houthis in Yemen and the President seeking to peacefully negotiate a nuclear deal with Iran without plunging the United States into another endless war.
According to Axios, Trump met with Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer in private on Thursday to discuss upcoming nuclear talks with Iran and Israel’s Gaza campaign. Dremer also met with Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and special envoy Steve Witkoff.
Trump is expected to visit Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates on Monday, as Steve Witkoff is expected to hold nuclear talks with Iran on Sunday. Trump reportedly does not plan to visit Israel despite efforts by Israeli officials to host Trump for a visit.
This comes as the U.S. entered a cease-fire with the Houthis this week after stopping their threat against global shipping in the Red Sea and deterring Iranian lethal support to the Houthis. This development left Israeli officials “shocked,” according to an unnamed Israeli official.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump announced on Tuesday that the U.S. “will stop the bombing” against the Houthis in Yemen after the Houthis told the U.S. that “they don’t want to fight anymore,” said Trump. Per the truce, neither side will attack the other, including U.S. vessels in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Probably at the rate we were dumping F18s into the sea, we could not sustain that operation much longer.
Interesting. You are one of the first to make that point.
I suppose we have been using heavy weapons (artillery?) for a sustained period. That quickly becomes expensive.
Good for President Trump … for getting the nation’s priorities straight.
Reported yesterday. I’m very skeptical.

I’m glad she spoke up. That is a good sign of a solid movement, one that MAGA groups can accept some occasional critical opinions from sincere followers,
without instantly trying to destroy or ostracize that person with the critical point of view.
So different from other, more fragile movements, mainly based on ‘Emperor w/no clothes’ types of accepted lies.
I.E. Biden is “Just Fine!”
MTG is so substantive when it boils down to it but she compromises the message with her distracting antics and crassness. Laura Loomer often has good things to say too — yet the same if not worse. Totally unprofessional and incompetent in presentation. It’s unfortunate.
When asked yesterday about the American position on allowing Iran to continue to enrich uranium, President Trump answered that no decision has been reached as yet but it will be soon. This may have triggered Bibi. The art of the deal prohibits giving away negotiating tidbits prior to the talks.
The Left often portrays the US as a “unilateral bully” internationally
That’s rarely the whole story.
What’s ignored is how much other nations (and their ideologies) use and manipulate the US to do their bidding.
such manipulation and influence is often a two-way street, both coming out of the US deep-state, as well as coming into it from abroad.
There was already tension between Netanyahu and Trump from Trump’s first term. Trump is more open to dealmaking and prioritizes military deescalation.
“reportedly” + “seemingly” = 100% ignorable bullshit ...
Bibi needs to respect Trump. period.
Baloney. There is zero truth to this.
Right there’s a concept called tough negotiating. People misread or can misrepresent the nature of talks and dealmaking.
That’s an open ended question. Trump pretty much said categorically that he will not allow Iran to have nuclear weapons, that they must destroy their enrichment centrifuges and open the country up to inspection. But whether they can enrich to the 3% needed for power generation may be “open for discussion”.
I think these reports out of Israel are overblown. Same fake news, same anonymous sources techniques. Perhaps an attempt to drive a wedge between factions. US interests in the gulf were always about global trade, not Israel. If the houthis fire more missiles at Israel we and others may or may not try to shoot them down, but in any case despite one miss of little consequence Israel’s iron dome is an effective defense. Israel needs to focus on its own internal and border problems- the houthis are not much of a threat if Iran is no longer replenishing their stockpiles.
It is not the first time Trump has been at odds with Netanyahu.
Why people think that a US President has to dance to the tune of another country baffles me.
I’m thankful for the truce and pray for a speedy withdrawal of our capital ships. Sure I rather be there in force but until an anti drone defences are developed I fell we are too vulnerable.
