said Monday on CNN’s “The Source” that President Donald Trump’s tariffs hurt consumers who want cheap goods.
Pence said, “I do have concerns, that with the president’s call for broad based tariffs against friend and foe alike that ultimately the administration is advancing policies that are not targeted at countries that have been abusing our trade relationship, but rather are essentially new industrial policy that will result in inflation, that will harm consumers and ultimately harm the American economy.”

The debt is killing us.
How come credit cards happened at the same time as the roles of "citizens", "mothers", "fathers", "workers", "soldiers", and all the other identities that made America great were rolled into the term "consumers"?
He might as well switch parties. The only folks who view him favorably are on the left.
We shouldn’t have been surprised, but we were. Pence is a national embarrassment. He is a former Carter Democrat. Maybe that is the clue to his liberal rants.
What Pence and the media fail to mention is the consequences of not fixing our trade and deficit problem.
1. Unfair trade practices are gutting our home based industries.
2. Deficit spending and borrowing is gutting the value of the dollar.
3. If our nation continues to do this we will have economic collapse.
I much prefer the tariffs than economic collapse. When each nation comes to a fair trade agreement most of the tariffs will go away.
The tariffs have not kicked in yet. We are still in the 90 day pause. Prices have actually been coming down, not just going up less, COMING DOWN.
The Chicken Littles must be using the global warming computers for their reports of rising prices, because it isn’t happening.

Although it’s only been 4 1/2 months into his new position, J.D. Vance has already been a much better choice for vice president than Pence. I really can’t think of much that the turncoat did during his tenure. Actually, I can’t think of one. V.P. Vance has Pres. Trumps back so far, I liked his reactions during the meeting with Zenensky.
