Someone had to say it so it might as well be me

Missteps, Equipment Problems and a Common but Risky Practice Led to a Fatal Crash
New details revealed by The Times show that the failures on Jan. 29 before an Army helicopter crashed into a jet near Reagan National Airport were far more complex than previously known.
Something Else...
Wasn’t she a lesbo? That would indicate mentally unstable.
I always type/say “DIE”
There is little if any real INVESTIGATIVE journalism any more.
There is a bigger story here.
But because she was a woman and military, she will get a pass.
As for me I’m still waiting on the real story of the 20 year old dietary assistant who as each day passes seems to become a bigger patsy than ol’ Lee Harvey.
My son recently graduated from the police academy. To determine the class ranking, they used the test scores, classroom and physical, and additional factors that gave you extra points. Those factors were…
Race
Sex
Sexual orientation
Veteran
Prior LEO experience
He was second in his class, right behind a gay, black, veteran, former LEO, woman. She beat him by 2 points.
So he was top in his class then.
Perhaps she was distracted by taking selfies while flying.
“If the helicopter is acting wrong, take the next step and command them to stop.”
I’m not a pilot. But I was riding in the right-hand seat with my uncle and listening to the tower. I told him I couldn’t understand a word of it. He said that the information was almost scripted and very controlled as to what is said so all you have to hear is a bit of it and you know what the tower is saying often by context. I don’t think it’s like what we see in movies where there’s actual conversation. When the tower says, “six three seven heavy Turn right three fifty” he means it. He’s probably not going to say, “Hey, stop now!” because that isn’t the protocol.
No one is saying that properly trained women can’t fly helicopters. We are saying that DEI can give rise to situations where pilots are given responsibilities for which they have not had sufficient training and experience. In this sense, the pilot was herself a victim (of DEI policies).
The female pilot.
The NYT buried this aspect of the story, and largely ignored the pilot’s actions, instead talking about “the system.” The mainstream media will continue with this approach -
wow
she checked all the boxes
she will be chief next year
if the intersectionality rules are followed
black lesbians will rule the world
Sixty-four people dead. But at least she won’t do it again.
She was DEI because she as black.
Yes, I have wondered if it was a deliberate act as opposed to incompetence.
She was young, beautiful, as a white hut staffer, politically untouchable, with sniffable hair that would put Joey into a swoon. She had everything to live for.
Would her check-ride instructor be intimidated by her connections? Would "I have the aircraft" end his career? Pilots on other threads tell us wrestling over the controls usually ends badly. If by some miracle it was a near-miss, would he be able to wash her out? Or would she earn high praise for "saving" the aircraft. We will never know.
I offer absolutely no excuse for her but there are other villains not adequately called out.
Let's start with the controller. Was "traffic at your 10 o'clock" too hard a call to make? There was a CJ7 and a CJ9 in the pattern. How much of a distinction is there between the two, let alone in the dark and with NVG (if he even knew they were in use.) I see no positive control there. And there was no separate helo controller; he wore both hats. So, handoff was not an issue.
Now the route designer. Crossing up or down river traffic with a plane on final approach at 400 ft indicated is INSANE. We had posts on prior threads from Blackhawk pilots that a rapid 100 ft change in altitude based on conditions was commonplace. Even if the pilot had proper altitude going on, the 90 degree crossing with a plane on final should have caused the controller to say "Blackhawk, immediate left turn or immediate hover."
Many are at fault here.
Sounds like a golf handicap.
We live in Bizarro World, as we all know.
I said the same thing the other day using Occam’s razor, and got piled onto.
Seems she was actually a closeted Moslem... or something.
