Rep. Kevin Kiley is under fire again as constituents from his conservative-leaning district are becoming increasingly fed up.
Kiley was under the microscope Tuesday at the most recent rally held by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders in Folsom. The Sacramento County event was the 10th stop on Sanders’ Fighting Oligarchy tour, which he’s been co-headling with Ocasio-Cortez in cities across the West. Tuesday’s event, despite taking place within Kiley’s heavily red district, drew about 30,000 supporters and had a 3-mile line extending beyond the entrance.
“I heard that they were, that someone started flying a plane with a banner that said, ‘This is Trump country.’ It sure don’t look like it today,” Ocasio-Cortez, a progressive from New York, said to a roaring crowd, referring to a plane that was reportedly circling overhead.
Kiley, who was elected in 2022, represents California’s 3rd District, which is a safe red district that spans a large swath of eastern California from Sacramento to the Sierra, and down to Death Valley.
Ocasio-Cortez called out Kiley and other Republicans in Congress if they end up voting to cut Medicaid and Social Security benefits in the Republican-led reconciliation bill.

Kiley’s was one of four seats the democrats flipped last year by taking a full month of counting until they produced enough votes to steal the seats. In 2026 I’m sure the dems are planning to heist enough seats to retake the majority in the House so they can impeach Trump again and stop everything he’s trying to accomplish. He knows that, so he’s trying to get as much done as quickly as he can do it with little help from the GOP.
