President Trump answered nearly 100 questions from the press during his first three Cabinet meetings this year — nearly 20 times the number answered by President Biden in the same setting during four years in office, according to data compiled by The Washington Times.

Mr. Trump fielded roughly 20 questions from the press during his third Cabinet meeting Thursday. He answered a whopping 55 questions during his first Cabinet meeting in February and 15 questions during his second meeting last month.

That brings the total number of questions Mr. Trump has answered during his Cabinet meetings, which have lasted between an hour and an hour and a half, to roughly 90.

In contrast, Mr. Biden answered a total of five press questions over the course of nine Cabinet meetings during his term. Mr. Biden spoke during the public portion of all his Cabinet meetings for a total of 45 minutes, or 5 minutes per meeting. He never spoke for longer than 7 minutes during any of the public portions of Cabinet meetings while in office.

“I don’t believe there’s any other president that allowed the press to come into a meeting such as this,” Mr. Trump said at a Cabinet meeting Thursday. “These are very sacred meetings. There are very private meetings, but we have nothing to hide and I think it’s good.”

“We want to be transparent,” the president added before going around the room to listen to agency heads share updates on their progress carrying out Mr. Trump’s policies.

Mr. Trump has also held Cabinet meetings at a more frequent clip than his predecessor. He held his first meeting on Feb. 26, nearly one month after returning to the White House, and has participated in one every month...

One of the main reasons why Kamala Harris lost.

We knew that Joe Biden was getting older. And he was "losing it".

So why did not one ask questions?

When does Melania get to run the Cabinet meetings like Jill did?

While Joe sat in the corner playing with his belly button

I think the media HATES it when a president gives them full substantive answers to any and all questions. They ask. He answers. This drives them insane and really convinces them that they have a sacred duty to drive him from office. They long for the days when Joe would stare at them blankly and struggle to discuss ice cream. This Trump guy with his complete sentences and well-formulated thoughts on a variety of important issues — Geez Louise! He needs to be destroyed.

In fairness, asking FJB questions is an exercise of pissing up a rope . . .

It is pointless to compare the two. They aren’t even in the same universe let alone league.

Have cabinet meetings always been televised with the press there, or is it more the way Trump runs them. I can’t remember. Biden never did them, so there’s that.

Back when network news mattered cabinet meetings would usually have a brief moment at the start where the press could see them all and maybe the President might say a few words, the video (and maybe a couple of the words) would be shown on T for like 30 seconds. CSPAN might have shown more, but of course the actual meetings were not and still are not televised. I can't remember them getting the coverage Trump's do but then again, can you remember a President sitting in the Oval Office in front of the press to explain every single executive order he signs, while he signs it? Trump is a different beast than his predecessors, he does things differently.
