Leadership from the Frisco Police Department emerged after an hour-long meeting in Dallas with the Next Generation Action Network just after noon on Tuesday.

The department’s deputy chief and assistant chief of police declined to speak to reporters about the closed-door meeting, leaving details to NextGen’s president, Dominique Alexander, and a subsequent press conference.

This week, Alexander requested a meeting with Frisco PD to discuss the ongoing investigation and raise concerns surrounding last week’s deadly stabbing at a high school track meet in Frisco.

The tragic encounter during a Frisco ISD district track meet claimed the life of Austin Metcalf, 17.

Karmelo Anthony, 17, is in jail on a $1 million bond and charged with murder.

Metcalf attended Memorial High School in Frisco. Anthony attended Centennial High School in Frisco.

Frisco police said Anthony reportedly admitted to stabbing the victim but claimed it was done in self-defense, according to the arrest report.

The incident began when Metcalf reportedly confronted Anthony, who was sitting underneath Memorial’s team tent, and asked him to move.

It had been raining on and off that morning.

According to a witness, Anthony “immediately” reached into his bag, opened it, and put his hand inside.

The arrest report states that Anthony told arresting police he had warned the victim and that a witness told police Anthony told Metcalf: “touch me and see what happens.”

Apparently what happened was Karmelo was in another teams tent at the track meet. Austin told him to leave. Karmelo said "touch me and see what happens". Austin grabbed him to get him to leave. Karmelo stabbed Austin in the heart.

Karmelo told police it was alleged, "I did it" and asked if it could be considered self defense.

Some organization wants the $1 million bail and 1st degree murder charge reduced. Claims Karmelo's family has been threatened and racial remarks made.

I’ve never heard of a competitor bringing a deadly weapon to a track meet.

"Karmelo told police it was alleged, "I did it" and asked if it could be considered self defense."

If he didn't tell the cops that he felt his life was in peril at the time of the stabbing, then it wasn't self-defense.

I’ve never heard of a competitor bringing a deadly weapon to a track meet.

He likely was not a competitor, and he skipped school to do whatever he planned in advance.

a good liberal gonif lawyer would call: 1) skipping school, 2) trespassing at a track meet one has no business being near--and walking through the athlete's area as well as 3)bringing a knife--premeditation

Could be this is a Diddndonuffuin Defense attempt to poison the jury pool and stir up racial animus to get their O.J. acquital.

I hope they can trace this back to his lawyers somehow and get them disbarred.

I wonder if Frisco “police leadership” would be willing to give equal time for a meeting with a Klan leader.

They’ll talk to one racist, why not all racists?
