President Trump announced Monday that his administration would convene direct talks with Iran later this week — saying that he hopes for “a deal” to avoid “the obvious” military alternative.
“We’re having direct talks with Iran,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office while hosting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“On Saturday we have a very big meeting … doing a deal would be preferable to doing the obvious.”
Trump added that the US is “dealing with them directly, and maybe a deal’s going to be made — that would be great. it would be really great for Iran.”

“This is good news. Russia can supply Iran with non weapons grade uranium for Iran’s legitimate energy needs. Iran is a signatory of the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty and therefore would no longer be able to justify its uranium enrichment program. China can not under any circumstance see the Persian Gulf closed, especially while reeling from Trump’s tariffs.
I’ve been saying for awhile that Putin will successfully mediate an end to this U.S./Iranian standoff.”

Watch for Iran to go into one big stall/delay. I hope we wont buy into that.
