Credit card Merchant Category Codes (MCC) are how this is mechanized.

The specific code is 5723, “Gun and Ammunition shops”, in effect as of Feb 2023.

https://money.usnews.com/investing/news/articles/2023-02-17/exclusive-discover-to-enable-tracking-of-purchases-at-gun-retailers-from-april

Old story - Discovery has since aired-off on this.

Some states have made us of this code mandatory, other states have made use of this code illegal. Last I looked the credit card outfits were “discussing” how to do this. I have not kept track.

The shops I use are coded as MCC 5999, “Miscellaneous and Specialty Retail Stores”, and MCC 5099, “Durable Goods - not elsewhere classified”. My credit union checking account includes the code on my statements, my credit union Visa prints out the code on my statements.

Yup - Cash Works.

Government lusts after a police state, especially democrats. Total control means they can do whatever they want.

Good question. All of your credit card spending is in a database somewhere. I don’t know if anyone is tracking specific types of purchases. But the raw data is out there if anyone wanted to do so, or if we see other laws such as this ammo tracking law being implemented.

The PUBLIC should know who is spending how much on abortion.

Hochul is so stupid. She doesn’t know that her signing the law reveals her Nazi stance?
New York Gestapo is here.

Fourth. The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Fifth. No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

I think a first amendment case could be made that stockpiling arms and ammo is a free speech act of protest.

But the 4th, the 2nd, the 5th, the 1st are just vile reactionary obstruction to government power that’s needed to protect children. Unless the children aren’t born. Particularly if the children are of a class or color that Margaret Sanger didn’t like because they were smelly little nothings who begged to be butchered by their own mothers.

That 22 ammo is Target ammo.

Good for hitting really small targets.

That is why Democrats are in fear for their brains.

Dizzy broad never heard of currency. ROTFL!

I wouldn't be surprised to see them make cash transactions illegal for guns and ammunition.

She should quit worrying about her constituents’ ability to fight back and just start taking care of New York

Start with the Cross Westchester, 287.

Driving on it from the Merritt in Connecticut makes NY seem like the complete 3rd world dump she and the Cuomos have turned it into

And no it is not the cuomo. It is the Tappan Zee. The TZ

I guess I would agree about the possibility of making cash illegal for this. Mind you, the dollar says: “This note is legal tender for all debts, public and private”. But that probably wouldn’t stop our government tyrants.
