Why Trump’s Saudi trip matters for the Trump doctrine - analysis

Reports this week indicated that US President Donald Trump may visit Saudi Arabia in the coming months. This is important because it would be his first trip abroad as president. It will also be a repeat of a trip he took during his first term.

During his first term, in May 2017, he travelled to Saudi Arabia for the US-Arab-Islamic Summit. He met with Saudi King Salman and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi during that trip, among other leaders who attended

During the May 2017 trip, Trump said, “I stand before you as a representative of the American People, to deliver a message of friendship and hope. That is why I chose to make my first foreign visit a trip to the heart of the Muslim world, to the nation that serves as custodian of the two holiest sites in the Islamic Faith.”

Gulf countries trust the US administration under US President Donald Trump a bit more than what they saw under Biden and Obama.

Many citizens world wide, respect President Trump more than any president since Reagan (possibly ever).

I’m not super keen on our President going to Arabia, at least not before Arabia finally stops funding and serving as the home base staging ground for Wahabism (a violently anti-Christian and anti-Jewish perversion, some would say restoration, of the most evil/worst, agressive elements of Islam). Literally Billions of dollars every year are spent on promoting this violent cabal INTO the West including USA. It must STOP, be terminated, before there can ever be any hope for a peace from Saudi. And I don’t envision this being achievable anytime soon as the Wahabi are still pretty strongly entrenched in Saudi Arabia by all accounts. I am reasonably sure that the Saudi regime will endeavor to provide security for President Trump’s visit but I still beliee it would be a lot better if he waited until (and if) there’s any genuine cleanup in Saudi Arabia, first. Just my 2 cents. He hasn’t asked me for any advice

It is a concern. Every time I stay in Israel, I remind myself that God is in control and protects me. And I was there for both Intifadas and the Lebanon Invasion.

Israel spends tons of effort protecting its people and visitors from Falestinian Arab terrorist attacks. It can’t be perfect but millions of visitors (tourists, academicians, students, merchants, you name it) go to Israel successfully every year.
The Saudi Arabian dictatorial “ruling family” isn’t too keen on hosting a lot of foreign tourists, though there are some (mostly Moslems on pilgrimage to Mecca or traders). The regime has securing agents deployed in all of its major cities, mostly to protect the regime of course but in the process they do suppress a lot of internal terrorism. Visibly- foreign visitors are well advised to stay within the areas under known security. With that said, people come and go with a decent degree of safety.
Not every Arab or Moslem is aggressive, hostile, or prone to terrorism.
I;d visit Jerusalem in a minute! I would have to think long and hard about visiting Riyadh, but would probably take a chance on it if I had any purpose or reason to go there.
Cheer,
