A key component of the Trump plan to restore the separation of powers away from the deep state has been the creation of DOGE. If you haven’t yet seen it, here’s the remarkable video of Bret Baier’s interview of Musk and members of his team who are sacrificing so much to reduce federal waste and fraud and update archaic computer and accounting schemes which have made it near impossible for cabinet members and the president to see where the money allocated has been going and why. We have been living , it seems, in a make-believe world where the president we elect and the cabinet member he’s chosen are mere placeholders operating under a system where the bureaucracy controls relevant information and may or may not share it with those at the top. Jeff Childers says now that USAID has been transferred to Rubio’s Department of State and all but the statutory employees removed, the next target of DOGE is the CIA.

Yes, Clarice Feldman is an American treasure, as is American Thinker. Thanks for posting this.
I think Clarice is being a little too optimistic here, for the fight has only just begun, in my opinion.
So, is this going to be a “Boss Fight?”
While it is a much different system of government, the Westminster system of the UK, as shown in the old BBC comedy series, Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister, shows, in a comedic way, the ongoing battle that occurs between the elected official and his senior civil servant, or bureaucrat.
Of course, the biggest difference is how deadly serious PDJT is to drain the swamp, and how rooted the swamp is. I wish him all the luck in the world, in his pursuit.
I can see that Clarice (I have never been aware of her before this morning) has a clear picture of what we face today.
The very idea of neutering the CIA is in unspeakable territory. It came to me that the idea of moving the main function of the CIA into the military special forces is very interesting. They would all be under control of the Executive branch under the Commander in chief.
The past 2 weeks has shown that our military is certainly capable of hammering our enemies. Tomorrow we may see even more of that from what is in Diego Garcia.
If the Supreme Court rules against Trump on the lower courts trying to negate the power of the executive branch, this nation is lost.
For that would make the court branch the dominate branch.
In essence, there is no need for an executive branch, because the checks and balances of the powers enumerated in the Constitution are not bein enforced as they should in the case of a foreign threat being used.
Millions of people invading our borders illegally is a foreign threat, even if undeclared or even not state sponsored by the nations from whence they came.
Got to admit, I always thought Clarice was a guy.
You may be right, but always remember that the battles of Lexington and Concord were fought over a year after the Boston Tea Party (1774) and a year before the Declaration of Independence (1776). The Deep State (through the CIA) has operated many years. It can’t be destroyed in one initial skirmish. The protests of today are just the death rattle of a dying corpse.

Yeah I don’t see a final battle until the biblical version.
That thinking is exactly what prompted my statement that the fight is just beginning, it is not in its final stages as the headline stated. It hopefully is the beginning of the end, but the headline gives the impression that the battle is all but over. I wish we were at that stage. 🙂👍
Well, there are final battles, but yes that will be the Final battle without question. 🙂👍
DOGE is a wonderful project, one of the best I’ve seen in my lifetime of growing disappointment with our (and most other) governments.
That said, and referring to the title, if history has taught us anything, it is that there are no “Final Battles.” Some epic ones, perhaps, that produce generational results, but no final ones. At least not yet.
Final battle? Sadly no. It will take more than 4 years of Trump’s second term to dismantle Deep State.
Paraphrasing Winston Churchill: This is not the end; it’s not even the beginning of the end; it is perhaps the end of the beginning.
