Two family members of one of America’s top conservative voices were swatted last night.

This morning, on “X,” Nick Sorter, who has over 900K followers on X, shared a chilling explanation of how his sister and his father could have both been killed last night during fake police reports that led to both of their homes being “swatted” by the police. “Swatting” happens when someone reports a made-up crime at a specific address. The police respond to the caller’s false crime with SWAT teams or Special Weapons and Tactics, placing the individuals inside the home in grave danger.

There should be a law that SWAT will not respond unless they have a clear idea who is calling in the threat. IOW, a valid phone number or some way to identify the person. Then if it is false, the person doing the false swatting has a mandatory jail sentence. No ifs buts or ands.
